Why I hate living near an airport

So, on my way back to work after lunch I was driving along and right before crossing the landing path (runway's right across the highway from the road I take to work) I watched as a 707?(I'm not good with planes, it was small with 4 engines, I think) flew across at the height planes usually are when they land (a few hundred feet) going the opposite direction and sideways.
I watched as a plane flew a few hundred feet in the air sideways.
It was sideways.
