Re: 856 for ZELLERSASN
Not criticizing your calling it an update. Just wondering why the big mystery. It starts feeling like over on Muffwigglers when module-designers post complex-looking panels and everyone has an orgasm. Getting closer to manufacture doesn't tell me anything about the thing. (Granted, from my experience with my Ct5, I'll be interested to be a lucky finder of one of the 40 golden tickets, but still...)
I saw Scott's update there, but I guess what I'm looking for is a "here's what this does, and here's what this does, and here's a demo." Since obviously it exists on earth, let us hear it.

it's not that big a mystery. we will release a demo closer to when we have some to sell. if muff wiggler has jaded you towards people sharing photos on the internet, i cant help it, but appreciate your interest just the same. the description above is quite accurate.MrBiggs wrote:Not criticizing your calling it an update. Okay okay fine. It *feels* mysterious.
And yes, Muffwigglers jaded me. I'm sad about that. I haven't bought a $450 module without knowing what it does in years, now. xoxo

The pictures were great. A bunch of enclosures and pcb's ready to build. I hope they're not too ready though since my wallet won't be for like 1.5 weeks...

We need some Ct5 vibes in here.
Scott, can you add this and that feature that only I need for that one song I need to play to myself in my room already? I want you to work with software rather than hardware and new concepts. And don't you dare go on vacation. That would be great. Thanks!

Yeah for real. And after reading some of the comments from people in this thread I just don't understand people. There is a weird sense of entitlement.UglyCasanova wrote:We need some Ct5 vibes in here.

I sense a disturbance in the GAS.

I could be wrong, but having been called "entitled" a page back for my information request, I assume this is somewhat leveled at me.
I don't feel entitled to anything. This is a guitar pedal. I feel "curious." I read manuals cover to cover and I like imagining what can be done with things. With specific things. I make no requests for features, I don't care how long it takes to build or sell, I'll anxiously but patiently stand in line just like everyone else. Ct5 was worth it, and I suspect this will be too. If some of you dudes are satisfied with the description, awesome. Me, it took that cool Ct5 video with the fruit to convince me that I wanted/needed that thing, because i could hear what I would do with it and it made sense in my brain. I've read Scott's description of the 856fZ seven times, and it's still not clear.

Anyway. Just clarifying. I'm not criticizing Scott for however he chooses to build, sell, or market his rocketship. I just want to know more, and a photo of a box of enclosures ain't feeding that beast.

Hey I can understand being excited for a thing. Plus Scott's things are pretty incredible.
Anyway I think Scott's been a gentleman and a scholar with everyone's requests. Looking forward to see the 856 in action.
