I like Phoenix's draft a lot. Bender! Chriss! SHOOT FOR THE STARS, KIDS.
Plus there's a good chance Ulis will be an absolute steal in the 2nd round.

McDonough will still find a way to poison the locker room & sign 4 more point guards on the way to another lottery year

the kings are the dumbest bunch of turds in the league, and the magic are the kings of the east.
boston not trading any picks is comical, but i feel like boston laying on the braggadocio and then not doing shit is par for the course.
i like pascal siakam to the raptors, and i am ultra bummed that the blazers drafted jake layman, our most crowded position, when kyle wiltjer, joel bolomboy and kay felder were still on the board.

Re: The ILF-ILNBA Basketball Thread
I don't think you can beat on boston just yet, they had to take some euro's when they couldn't get what they wanted for picks, those guys can now hang out in Europe, if even a few pan out it's a good draft.
Most picks don't end up becoming stars anyway, I am guessing each draft turns out about 4-5 allstar type players and even fewer superstar players

Re: The ILF-ILNBA Basketball Thread
the comedy lies within the fact that it was a fire sale on picks in boston, and as always, they asked for too much, and then were forced to pick a bunch of euro dudes who may not even play.
the fact that they had to take anything at all when the draft pick store was open is funny as hell. ainged!

True I guess,
has he had a good draft since he traded for Ray?

Re: The ILF-ILNBA Basketball Thread
Nabbing Bradley in 2011 wasn't bad.
The other thing to consider is that even if they're an overachieving team they're still a good 20-30 wins above where they "should" be picking, so it's not as if they need a franchise savior right now (esp. when KD signs in Boston because this is what I want).

Re: The ILF-ILNBA Basketball Thread
well, consider both scenarios:
picking a bunch of squiddy euro-stashes
or
leveraging multiple picks into one or two really good FA/trade acquisitions
of course they'd try #2, but they just couldn't get a deal done. evan turner is probably gone, and he was a great sixth man. sullinger is history too. you'd think they'd try for a competent big man since all theirs are turrible. i would have offered every pick to sac for cousins, and i'd think about tossing smart in there too. and i bet they'd have taken it. sacramento would trade two dollars for one dollar.

Vlade is the worst GM ever,
they have done nothing to help boogie either with players or coaching,
although I think they have gone through the list far enough that one of us has a good shot to step in and coach mid season
