I used to have relatives that lived in Nyack in Rockland County. Not Anthrax territory.

Anthrax are city boys.

One time I went to see Fishbone at the old Ritz. Upstairs around the balcony they had reserved seating. My friends and I snuck over to one of the tables. The next table over had a sign that said "Reserved for Anthrax" and I was thinkin' "Nah!" Well, guess who showed up right before Fishbone went on?

Yeah, I was a big Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver fan. (Tug McGraw too, but he was also a Phillie.)

Oh hell yeah. Lenny's Rules! I am going east in a few days and plan on eating as much of the lobster population as I can.
psychic vampire. wrote:Wait, so fucking many of us grew up in CT. What the fuck is this shit?

New Haven Pizza is the best. Simply put.
Truth. My dad grew up on Wooster street, when there used to be apartments across from Pepe's. He lived across the street from the best Pizza in the universe...though I am all about Modern these days.

This is just highlighting our age difference. My friend Steve runs it. He and I were in the same crew of local bands when we were in high school. His was much more successful, mine were always short lived.

There's Ashley's which has a few small shops, and Wentworths, over by sleeping giant.

There's two. The other is in Berlin and fucking off the rails. Psycho muppet inspired animatronics?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Forgot about the Grove Street Cemetery. Tons of famous people buried there and crazy Egyptian theme at the entry gates.

I don't know if it's highlighting our age difference, i was in high school over a decade ago?

And i can't speak about Anthrax, but i once went back to CT to see Municipal Waste play the world's shortest set at the Puppet House in Branford. People were throwing full boxes of paper off the balcony and fireworks into the crowd. It's a wonder no one got hurt or died. I saw someone crowd surf out of the building.

Also, i think there's three Stew Leonaard's. There is the one in Danbury, too? I once stood in its fountain pulling out change so my friend and i could buy food. But there's very little good reason to go to Danbury after Trash American Style closed.

This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Sounds about right. I seem to remember seeing a mini trampoline on stage for people to launch into the crowd... with boogie boards.

When you decide to suicide, may I suggest New Canaan? I ended up there accidentally once and almost didn't make it out.

New Canaan is hell. Never go to Greenwich unless you're there for dirty business or to hang out with Fergy Princess of Wales and some WWE fuckers.

I just read the Pleasure Beach re-opened two years ago, which is a fucking shame, because it was an amazing ghost town.

There's a haunted Graveyard on either 58 or 59 that is really cool.

There are a lot of Ghost Towns in CT.
I thought the vehicle graveyard and decommissioned missile silos behind my future CT rental were intriguing, but this sounds like some next-level photo op shiz. Are these areas public property with unrestricted access?

Also likely if I stayed in Maine.

This reminds me of the motel in Farmington, ME in which I stayed for my LCSW exam. There was a sign in the room that read "Don't use the bath linens to clean your vehicle." Seriously.

We're here, still bruised and battered from the move and unpacking two days later. I can't wait to explore dining option, etc. recommended by other members in this thread and wanted to extend our thanks for all suggestions. Now I just need to get around to updating my profile photo from a ME image to a CT one.
