So in three years you are spending close to $800 and having nothing to show for it after all is said and done. Wheras if you call up wesco and put in an order for some of these styling ass JH Classics that come in at like $300-$450 youll still have them around a decade later guaranteed. Also you know that, any time during business hours, you can call them up and shoot the shit with the person who actually put your shoes together by hand. Thats a little difficult with addidas considering the 6 year old who was poorly gluing your shoes together died of heatstroke and malnutrition that day. Also the wesco customizer is really fucking cool.

What about dad sex?

Anyone want to talk about that?

Like how do you keep the kids out and stop from getting to excited that they hear? ;) lol

Those are some snappy shoes. Except for the black suede ones. I don't like those.

Yeah dude. I think I'm ordering the all black in a few weeks. I've been wearing docs for years, but have transitioned my wardrobe to all sweatshop free and don't like the made in England ones as much. Those all black are hott. I don't really like mixing leathers, so the others won't do.

Those Wesco Boots look really nice, but it seems impossible to get anything from them that doesn't have a relatively big heel, which would be absolute murder on my back. Also, unless you're doing custom, their women's shoe selection is not super enticing. It's unfortunate that the shoe world is what it is, I know many people, myself included, who would prefer to wear things like what you're posting SR, but can't because of physical reasons. I am forever damned to awful sneakers.

Very nice, but was hoping for some Black Star Line gear, or a portrait or something.

Gotta post my lumberjack socks. We need a sock thread.

And yeah, heels are no good for me, either. I'm wicked huge, and it goes much better when I wear low-profile stuff. Saucony jazz, chucks, desert boots.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Ah man, I do love desert boots. They're one of those shoes that's a bit deceiving though... so spongy and good-feeling because of the crepe sole, but pretty much zero support. I will, however, happily not give a shit about that when it comes to those—there will always be a pair in my closet (Chucks and Vans too, of course).

I'll second Space's comments about the quality of some of those boots. My only problem is that some of them are just too huge and chunky... I like something a little bit more medium profile, seeing that I wear 13s and a big-profile shoe will really make me look like a Mansquatch. I have a couple pairs of Red Wing Heritages that I like, though they're several years old and I suppose before the decline in quality. Also have a pair of Oak Street Bootmakers trench boots that I fucking looooove and will have forever.

You guys.

Turns out my feet are fine, my problem was that my friend Neil played a set the other night, and he makes really fun, happy music. I danced my annual dance and that is what wrecked my feet. I need dancing shoes I guess?

Spacey, you are dad-ing the fuck out of this thread. I really like the look of those little loafs you just posted, maybe I'll start a savings fund for a pair. I love stuff made stateside, ethically, but at this point I've got a long way to go to have an entirely non-child-death-related wardrobe.
