Dad shoes?
I've been wearing Vans Authentics my entire adult life. I am on my feet for 10 hours a day. My feet hurt. I bike a lot. I need shoes that are sub-$100 and comfy for standing and don't look stupid. Halp.

Lots of running shoe companies make pretty cool blacked out versions of their wares. Was just looking at some Nikes today. Free RN, I believe.

Dr Martens Delray
They're canvas, come in lots of colors, and have a nice comfy sole. They're the shoes that replaced my vans when I needed something a little dadlier.

I always wore skate shoes, but then my gf got me some Salomon hiking shoes and I've never looked back. Sure, they look dorky, but fuck it, my knees and lower back have never felt better. Haters gonna hate.
I do still use my skate shoes when playing music though. The narrow shape and flat bottom is crucial to my pedalboard step dancing.

Redwings are the dad of shoes but they're 'spensive. Check like Marshall's or some other outlet type place for a deal on some nice running shoes.
good dealings here:

I've been a dad for 11 years now, and I'm not sure what a dad shoe is. LOL!!!
For standing, you'll most likely need different shoes than biking. I used to work in a grocery store and to be honest, the thing that was the most comfortable was my expensive EMS boots I bought at a uniform store. I can't remember the brand, but they are almost like boots the military would wear. They offer great support.
For biking, you could get away with cross trainers. You could with both, but I'm not sure how long they'd hold up being stood on that long for an extended period of time.
Really the thick soled Vans are hard to beat too.

Re: Dad shoes?
If you're on your feet all day and they're hurting, I'd first recommend going to see an orthopedist. You can't necessarily tell if a shoe is going to be good for you based on the type or shoe or even the cost. I'm currently going through some foot/leg bullshit as a result of wearing the wrong pair of shoes. I'm just getting into running, so after my last pair of cheapo running shoes bit the dust, I just went to a regular-ass mall shoe store and bought the most expensive pair of running shoes they had, figuring that I'd be all sorted out. Gave myself shin splints after a few weeks.
If an orthopedist isn't available to you, maybe just go to a dedicated running shoe store? They aren't doctors, but when I went to one last weekend, there were a few non-running customers there who were just trying to deal with foot pain. They might be able to give you a basic evaluation and some recommendations within your price range at least. My store said they could order from a variety of colors for me, in case you don't want to look all

This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Re: Dad shoes?
If you are on your feet 10 hours a day, buying sub-$100 shoes is probably not a good idea. In fact, buying cheap shoes really isnt ever a good idea at all. You spend nearly %100 of your awake life in some form of shoe or another, so you might want to consider coughing up a little more. I personally dont own a single pair of shoes that cost under $400 and the ones that are closer to that mark are actually in the minority. That being said I'm also a massive snob.
However, if you want a good, long lasting pair of shoes that are ethically made, supremely comfortable, and relatively affordable, I suggest looking into the KEEN USA made shoes and boots or the lower-end USA Made Danners. they can routinely be had for 200-300, last years, and are designed for people that are on their feet all day.
Red Wing used to make my list but thier quality has gone into a freefall in the last two years while their prices have gone up.
