That may be a good thing. I'm not sure which is worse: to absolutely believe human beings have no impact in terms of climate change, or knowing we do but choose to speak against that reality for political purposes.
I see Trump as saying what people want to hear - like many politicians do - to get support and then abandoning those hard-line positions when actually elected, in order to actually get things done.
