85% sure it's better than the actual Radiohead record.

Super late DoS, how the fuck do you like King of Limbs over In Rainbows. Jigsaw Falling Into Place invalidates that shit all up and down.

Nope sorry you're totally off base there buddy boy. I hated the Matrix series period and the new Total Recall blows, and I also love Shawshank. So nice assumptions bro.vidret wrote:besides pablo, did they have a mediocre album compared to everything else that comes out? no.jwar wrote:I mean, beside Creep, did they ever have a catchy song? I'm being serious.
when you like shit music it's alright, because everyone is allowed their guilty pleasures, but it honestly seems like you're one of those people that thought the remake of total recall was better than the original and matrix reloaded was better than the first one because the action was better. shawshank redemption was no action at all so you got tired and turned it off. that kind of person. come on bro.jwar wrote: I fucking HATED Ok Computer. Had that album when it came out, tried soooo fucking hard to dig it and couldn't.
i can see tkol being better than in rainbows. the last 4 songs off of TKOL are fucking amazing chained together, the opening 4 songs are weak in comparison.

this whole thing is amazing, but start at 19:00 you get codex into separator straight up.
and they have to let me know beforehand if they're gonna break up, if that's the case i'm gonna have to see them this summer for sure.
I like good music you just have a different taste in some bands and I bet you we like some of the same bands as well.
I just don't like Radiohead and was curious initially what else was a good song by them, but so far I'm hearing nothing that would make me like them anymore. So that's fine.
I'll not post anymore in this thread because it's obviously about Radiohead love and I don't want to down it any more.

Aw, that's aight jwar, I like Radiohead and I don't mind if you rag on them. But may I recommend, even if u didn't like OK, maybe check out the Airbag EP and the My Iron Lung EP. I feel those have a good collection of tracks that are way different from their album counterparts.
Second band I played (sang) in actually did a few Radiohead covers, My Iron Lung, Creep... they were a big part of my musical adolescence, and yes I was hugely into britpop in my mid-teens. My favourite of theirs has to be The Bends, played that to death. So although I like them a lot in theory, I haven't really actively listened to them much since then, and can definitely see their potential non-appeal to people as well. Personally, I can't deal with the vocals anymore, plus I always hoped they would go in a noiser, more guitar-centric direction after OK Computer. But the electronic thing turned out cool, so...
I hope they continue to do good in whatever capacity, even though it's not my thing as of late.

Jwar—I'd hate to think you were taking any of my ribbing as malicious. Didn't mean to cause any ganging up.

I love everything they've done. Total fanboi. In Rainbows is amaze balls. Agreed, I hope the new album isn't too much Thom solo vibe. Which is good, just not Radiohead good.

Re: Radiohead breaking up
I really, really, really don't like radiohead as a "rock" band. Like The Bends and Ok Computer give me the shits so hard. TKOL and Kid A are two of my favourite albums ever though. Especially The King of Limbs. I adore that fucking album, in particular the live version they did for the basement session.
The rest of their catalogue I'm not into that much.
Super stoked for their new album, hoping they keep it weird.

Re: Radiohead breaking up
i love at least something from most radiohead records but kid a holds a special place in my heart
also probably one of the most contested album ranking artists which is always fun
imo
kid a > in rainbows > tkol > ok computer > bends > amnesiac > hail to the thief > pablo
keen for new stuff

How does everyone not like Amnesiac that much when it's better than Kid A?
Yea, I said it. Yea, fuck you.
