Yeah as soon as I read DOS dissing Thom+piano, I immediately thought "but what about the fucking Pyramid Song?"

Agreed, I really like the pacing of that song. Amnesiac is such a cool record. I cant always listen to it but it scratches that weird little itch very well from time to time.

Dude, I kid because I love. And because your hard-on for Collective Soul is poking out. That shit's hilarious. But also kinda tragic in a date-rapey jock way. See the Woodstock 99 thread.

Can someone explain the Collective Soul hate? I only know like two of their songs, but those are alright.

A couple songs on The Bends are alright. It's not really my thing. Street Spirit is good.
HTTT, Amnesiac and Kid A, OK Comp are my favs.
Having seen them during HTTT tours and after: HTTT shows were amazing - both the material from that album and the other stuff they played.
Saw them for some In Rainbows stuff and it was still good.
Saw them more recently - whenever they were around last for King of Limbs and it wasn't that good/enjoyable.

It's because they have levels of wuss rock they can like. In order to be in true wuss rock fashion the singer has to sound like his ballsack has been crushed by a hammer.
