On the real though I'm fucking stoked for new Radiohead. My faves are In Rainbows and Hail to the Thief because I don't have to pretend I always loved them.

Those are both excellent, particularly In Rainbows... I thought they'd got so bleak and sort of tiring for a while there, even though I still loved the records. My fave's still probably The Bends. The only one I was sort of not into was the KoL, but even it had plenty of moments. Just a bit boring at times.

I guess what I would say is that if "catchy" is what you're looking for, then it's probably not the right band for you, that's not really what they're going for most of the time.

"Climbing up the Walls" is one of the creepiest fucking things I've ever heard, it makes my skin itchy when I listen to it.
"How to Disappear Completely" does a pretty great job of capturing a specific feelz.
Pretty much all of The Bends is amazeballs.
Kid A and Amnesiac are pretty much my jam though they're not for everyone

Collective Soul are fucking garbage, and Radiohead are not. It's that easy.

That said, I wasn't a big fan of In Rainbows. I much prefer Kid A/Amnesiac/Hail to the Thief etc. As to catchy songs, anything off of The Bends.

Anyone can play guitar is a great jam, too. But if you're talking Radio Hitzzzzz The Bends is superior, and if you're talking IMPORTANT MUSIC Kid A and Ok, Computer are also better.


And all of it is better than Collective Soul or Live.

Saw all of In Rainbows live, listened to the record the hour it came out. It kind of sucks. OOOOOH BUT IT HAS VIDEOTAPE AND NUDE. and both of those songs are shit.
