This video is what first got me interested in Prince. Not only was he a fucking crazy guitarist, but he throws that guitar up at the end of the set and it NEVER FUCKING COMES DOWN.

I work in a media company, so I always hear about these deaths very quickly. You usually see a few stations that are very affected, and everyone else sort of acknowledge the impact and move on. Rarely do you see someone make as big of a bang across all the stations as you do when someone like Prince or Bowie passed. No matter the channel, no matter what culture they belonged to, everyone looked hit by this news today. Everyone was hoping that TMZ was wrong in those moments before other sources began to confirm.
It's something else to talk to people and hear their experiences with these artists. Whether it's hearing a humanizing story about when they crossed paths with Prince, or just talking about how Prince affected them. It's been one of those weird days that feels a little distant through the chaos.
