Stupid Historical Fantasy books/tv fanfic?

I find people who complain about divergences from the books to be completely insufferable. I read the books. The first one was awesome. Most of the plotlines in 2 and 3 were were fantastic, others were interminably awful. Books 4 and 5 were fucking TERRIBLE. I think 90% of the divergences that they've done in the show have improved the story. Now that they've left the books mostly behind, I'm fucking excited that they won't be tied to George's deteriorating writing any longer.

Don't disagree about books 4 and 5 dropping in quality, but the show is still worse.

Re books 4 and 5: Wyman Manderly and Frey Pies, Victarion Greyjoy, Asha Greyjoy, a more rich and intricate Dorne plot are among many things that worked for me. Torn on Dany basically always.

They should have been condensed greatly, but a big part of why i love the series is the absurd amount of tinfoil theories, a lot of which root in FeastDance.
