That's why noise suppressors were invented. Put a Kompakt Kassette in a BOSS NS-2's loop and everything should be fine. Some of my dirt pedals produce a lot of noise when not playing. With the NS-2 it's all good.

Can you put only one pedal in at a time or can you put a chain of pedals in? I need to know! LOL! I'm also having issues but not with Seppuku. :)

You can put as many pedals you want in that loop. No noise will come through as long as you don't make a sound with your guitar. It's easy to dial in the threshold and decay values for your own setup. It's such a great and cheap tool!

The NS-2 is like a really fast, slow gear (or an inverted envelope follower). It mutes when not playing and you set the attack and release of the gate (mute). I had one for a long time and it worked well, but I always felt that it slightly changed my playing dynamics (meaning, my guitar was low output and it would give me a slight slow gear effect...kinda like using the envelope on the LAL sandstorm without the noise). I actually liked the effect sometimes. But what I was actually fighting was a dirty power supply coupled with ungrounded 100 year old electric lines at my old studio...it can't suppress 60-cycle hum at the amp. The NS-2 is a useful tool and it would actually work well with the kassette (assuming it plays well with buffers). I loved it with my mt-2 for choppy riffs. I had one pedal that was so noisy once (I think it was a DOD) that the gate would actually never close on the ns-2 and I had to run the attack long and decay fast (which is probably what stuck in my head about the dynamaics)

I kinda just roll with the noise...it doesn't bother me and in most live situations, I noticed it more than anyone else (and 90% of the time it was 60-cycle).

Pepe is right though, it is a good tool to have around!

I just got a TC Electronic Sentry, and I really like that pedal as well.

Are you talking about my reverb ads?

Yeah, I've made some listings and ended them. Going to put them up a little later. Waiting for some dibs-people to get back to me first. The collecting has beem fun, but it's gotten to a point where I don't use them much. I'm still keeping the majority of them though.

They're back up ;)

The pedals that people have dibs on have yet to be put up. Will add them if they don't want them. :thumb:

You bet, baby.

I saw 'em and then when I clicked on 'em, they'd already "ended". I thought there was maybe some back room deals goin' on. :snax:

You're so fickle. :hobbes:
