I think the old boxes will be floating around for awhile, or at least clones for the foreseeable future, if only for the fact that trading & reselling isn't necessarily throwing any money toward you know who. The schems are out there, so if anyone ever had any attachment to those circuits, either way seems the nicest way possible to bite your thumb. That's a great price for a Rocket, as some people price their Devi boxes either super low ("nobody wants this, etc." logic) or super high ("such rare!, never again like this!" etc.) no matter the era or origin of manufacturer. Also, that seller is the Reverb in-house account, so they usually price everything pretty low (make 'em an offer). :)

Single stage germainium transistor boost, probably in a reverse active mode.. Input and output volume controls..

Think Rangemaster like booster but much more expensive..

That seller consistently offers me $50-60 less than what I'm selling something for, despite the fact they're selling the exact same thing in equal or worse condition for *more than* my asking price (often $5-10 less than factory) plus $10 shipping. Turning profits on multiple levels - buying stuff from people by low-balling, re-selling for more money, and charging you the fee for selling it to them in the first place. I won't ever buy anything from the mothership on principle.

Oof. But isn't wheeling & dealing the name of the game on Reverb? Not that I can say that what they're doing is legit, but that kind of behavior seems on point for a majority of my experiences with the site, even if they weren't the Mothership. I don't want to defend that kind of dealing, but if you're buying only to sell, that's pretty much what anyone that wants to turn a profit seems to do anywhere, wafer-thin margins or not. There's always someone who'll take a low offer if the circumstances are right (human people with less than infinite resources), but that's still pretty crappy. I always wanted to believe that places like that would be combing craigslist & pawn shops during the week to find gems to sell online that wouldn't ordinarily be, but the truth is crueler than I'd thought. Also, somebody bought that Rocket already

Man I love reverb, its a freakin godsend compared to craigslist in my neck of the woods, which is pretty much all crap or all lowball/gear flippers. I've bought about 30 pedals on reverb and probably sold as much and I'd say about 25% of offers smell like gear flipping or just silly offers, where as craigslist is more like 90% of offers are just retarded wastes of time.

Totally agree with both of your statements. My issue is it's Reverb's own store. If they're trying to create an atmosphere that is anti-craigslist bs/"for" musicians and gear lovers/etc, then don't personally engage in the exact thing you claim to be against.

Feel you, weebles. Also though, i would posit it is no different than what guitar center and sam ash try to pull when you want to trade in shit these days, except reverb would be saving me the 90 minute drive. Of fucking course i don't try to sell the GC anymore, esp. since so many of their policies changed so hard. Also CL here is mostly microkorgs, dumb guitars, and pedals no one ever wanted.

Not your typical ILF bait, but a damn good price on a solid mixer if you're stuck in Brooklyn...

World's finest, most RARE (but affordable) guitar - $75 (Orient)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Fender Squier
model name / number: Stratocaster

This is an offer to sell an extremely rare (it's the only one I have, so not just rare, it's "one of a kind") Squier Stratocaster electric guitar. You can play it acoustically too, but it doesn't make much sound when you do. Played by the finest and most famous musicians in the history of rock and roll (or it would have been, if they'd had it at any time), and can be purchased with virtually any famous person's signature on it (I'll do my best to make it look authentic). Probably worth thousands in its condition, I'm hoping to get $75 out of it but will not overlook reasonable offers. I know what these fine instruments are worth, so don't lowball me. Taylors and Martins, even Gibsons have nothing over this guitar, except that they're made much better and sound like it. Has six functional strings, ranging from E to e, and actually holds tuning well. Comes with a picture of a case (could be hard shell or gig bag, your choice). Only selling because I've upgraded since purchasing this gem and she deserves more attention than I can give her. I'll post pictures soon. Will consider trades for any high-end offerings, but keep in mind this is a true FENDER SQUIER, one-of-a-kind, so, let the bidding begin.

Definitely gave me a chuckle.
Sounds like Ohio, though.
Either cheeky little bastards or guys insisting their 10-20 year old beat to shit Epiphone/shredder guitar is worth the same as a brand new Gibson/Fender.
