Invitations ordered, registry registered(?), fiance got her dress picked out and ordered, my kid brothers are going to have jobs and such during the event; one of them is DJ'ing, beer and wine lined up, bachelor party date and location set...

Less than three months away now for me. Shit's going so damn fast.

just got married last month, was married for 14 years, and while some was fun, the last 6 were a joke, and never were we as close, even in the beginning, as i am with my wife now.

i was about 24 the first one, i wasn't the best person, her and i always had deep seated conflicts from such varying cultural backgrounds. stuff that seems little, like not having the same comedic touchstones. got to where only time i could make her laugh was at me, which.... i mean...... i can be a little funny? sometimes? that shit got more and more troublesome as time went on.

fuck YES live with someone first. that's a way bigger change than being married.

both times were very simple. when i married the woman i'll be with forever, it was somewhat a formality, but also important. completely secular, i'm an agnostic she's an athiest, but it was pretty powerful saying the words and tearing up staring at each other.

good times when you have the right person.
