where do you like to sit on long flights?
Just curious,
I tend to pick a seat near the back on the outside of the center aisle, don't like getting pinned in to the window and if I fall asleep whoever is next to me has the option of going out the other side to the Bathroom.
Anyone else have a preference?
Also: I never pay or use my miles for upgrades, Pedal funds more important than 16 hours of comfort.

Ayyyy, exactly this. Plus if you get super lucky and have nobody in else in the center aisle then you get enough space to lie down horizontally.hbombgraphics wrote:I tend to pick a seat near the back on the outside of the center aisle, don't like getting pinned in to the window and if I fall asleep whoever is next to me has the option of going out the other side to the Bathroom.
I like to get a row about 5ish away from the bathroom, so it's close but not too close because usually the rows right near the bathroom are where the crying children end up being.
I never eat on planes or drink anything but water because it makes me feel sick, and don't pay for any kind of extra service either.

I have to eat something on a really long flight or I get weird, my cure for nausea for years has been twizzlers, seem to do the trick for me.
I also don't get the appeal of being the first on,

Man I just love window seats. Throw on some tunes and zone out looking at the clouds. I need something to look at as it would take 30 hours without sleep before I fall asleep sitting up. So even an overnight from Minneapolis to London, I'll generally be awake the entire time.

Man you guys take different flights than me. I've only flown for personal trips though, I've never had a job where I had to travel. IME, there's never an empty seat, nevermind a whole row. Every time I fly, the plane is jammed to the fucking gills. I almost never fly on planes have have a center aisle, either; it's usually just 3 + 3 across.

Thread is relevant to my interests, but I think I'm just going to get Valium from a doctor and pass out for my entire flight.

I like to sit in front of the wing, window seat. For some reason I always choose seats on the left hand side. Dunno why.
I can't stand down the tail end of the pkane - it's like being in a turbulence magnifier.
Also, shoes off, John McLean style.
And virgin bloody marys.

Dude I was watching die hard before I crashed last night, best Christmas movie ever
I don't usually sleep on planes but I have a 4am Car ride to catch a 5am bus for a 10am 16 hour flight
I should be tired enough to black out
once from Shanghai to Detroit there were piles of Empties, the business guy in front of me and the 2 in back and myself all had full rows we were able to stagger so tilting seats didn't but our neighbors
it was glorious
today is a sardine can

I hope my trip from Chicago to Tokyo is empty as fuck but I have the dreadful feeling that it won't be at all.
