Tracking down a deleted email

Post by PeteeBee »

Has anyone ever done this? I know you can submit something to google and they will retrieve your deleted ones. I don't know how it really works though.

I'm trying to get a pedal back from a dude with whom I traded via Craigslist like a year ago. I have deleted the emails (obviously) and just want to offer him cash to buy it back. Only thing I've ever flipped and extremely regret.

Have you tried searching your email?? It could still be hiding somewhere? I've had this happen to me and never been able to find the email. Sucks.

Yes to both unfortunately. Definitely a move I won't be doing again.

Did you delete them via web based gmail or using a client like outlook?

If you used outlook then you maybe able to recover deleted emails although this is very difficult, with regards to gmail, dependant on when you think you deleted it then its likley google wont have stored this information for very long. Were talking 30 days max recovery time before they erase any deleted stuff.

Contacting them about it is pretty difficult aswell.
Im not back. Im just front

google can recover e-mails pretty well if you message them
you are gonna get spooged with a ton of em however

which dirge contraption was it.

You can also post a WTB on craigslist that has worked for me before
although I still can't retrieve the TGD I built with the leaf on it

I might do the WTB post and see what happens. It was a rat w/a bunch of mods and a stampede in a double enclosure. At the time i was convinced it wasn't what I wanted and for the past 4 months I've just been craving that tone. Might just pick up another rat clone and move on with my life. :grumpy:

I second the WTB ad suggestion. I didn't something similar and found a guy I sold a modded dd-3 and custom loop switcher to. The guy responded.

Was it a local deal? If they are a pedal/gear hound they probably search Craigslist all the time. But some unique keywords in the ad that they might search for.
