Years back I saw a Japanese screamo band at a local bar. A couple of them were wearing basic punk screenprinted shirts that read "Hard Gay". It always mystified my mind until I found out who Hard Gay was last year.

Yeah I'm still trying to work out if that's offensive or just lame.
Like, they wanted to do Bruno but something got lost in translation and cultural context.
I didn't think the Japanese were particularly homophobic but that sort of makes it appear that way?
