Re: Does it even really make a difference who the next POTUS
I'm not voting for Hillary or Bernie. They are both pro choice and I'm very much so pro life. So that doesn't leave me much optioning unless there's another Republican candidate or a pro life democrat.
Before anyone says it, yes I do think abortion is one of the largest issues. If we don't have life, we have nothing. There's no point. I'm a Christian and that is what I believe. So please don't try to change my mind because it won't work.

Trump is fascinating. Anyone listening to his Romney response speech?
Trump encapsulates the reality TV culture. And he has that high-on-crack kind of ramblings, but they are more…coherent, then say Palin. He just lets it all out. He pulls out that age old thinking-with-your-blood from people.
He is funny and I enjoy watching him cause it's comedy gold. It's just amazing people really think he is a good choice for president.
There are republicans saying they can't support Trump:

Re: Does it even really make a difference who the next POTUS
I just saw a few excerpts from both Mitt and the Don's addresses.
Mitt had some pretty realistic digs at the guy and, you're right, he responded in a really MTV Sixteen and trust funded kind of way.
But then people cheered.
It's beyond the point of saying, "if this happens, lulz, you guys are screwed."
It would be a global crisis.
I have faith that "they", as Blackened put it, will sort this out.
Pretty sure he won't get to home plate.
Pretty sure if that happens SOMEHOW, there's a sniper keeping a grassy knoll warm somewhere.

One thing to potentially keep in mind is that Trump's track record is so completely contradictory that he could wind up being easily the most palatable candidate out of the GOP remainders.

Well, at least Mitt has some intelligence. I don't agree with many of his policies, but he was better qualified than The Donald will ever be.

Sure, and this is definitely putting lipstick on shit, but it's possible the Republicans nominate a pro-choice, tariff-imposing, anti-imperialist jerkoff.

Trump's presence has done a lot of interesting things for the GOP. In particular, showing that though the GOP candidate bunch wrong on a lot of things, some can be far more grounded in some form/amount of reasoning and argument than others - like Trump.
I don't think people shouldn't take Trump's nomination lightly, in the sense that perhaps many Democrats/those on the left might think he couldn't win. I'm not sure. Given that Hillary will likely be the nominee. The debates between them should be interesting and I think the results - Clinton actually engaging in argument whereas Trump will just talk shit - might instill in a lot of uncertain voters - dem or repub - that Clinton is the saner choice. As well as perhaps making many republicans just not vote for Trump (meaning not voting at all), and focus on other seats in the house, in which case Hillary might easily win the election. And in which case Trump will have been a great asset to the Democratic party and election, and many on the right will be pissed, puzzled and unsure of the GOP in the future.

Is Shkreli managing his campaign?
Because that would actually make a lot of sense.

Yeah in my experience most people who are chronically lying, unreliable opportunists tend to end up somehow doing very positive, constructive things.D.o.S. wrote:One thing to potentially keep in mind is that Trump's track record is so completely contradictory that he could wind up being easily the most palatable candidate out of the GOP remainders.

I don't think he's funny at all. He is a disgrace to the election therefore a disgrace to our country.

I think the perspective of detached amusement/bemusement comes from a comfortable position only possible in social groups he hasn't attacked yet. Nothing about this is funny or cute to anyone who understands the very real consequences to the groups he explicitly expresses hatred and violence towards and has galvanized his following against.Chuckchuck wrote: I don't think he's funny at all.
