how would it handle re-patching a pedalboard in a live setting? I am worried out noise when repatching between pedals...

Interested too. If the current model doesn't do it, it seems like there should be a way to do silent switching - where if you pull any of the patches it shorts both sides. kind of like the silent switching guitar cables. It would raise the price, but since this is oriented to making changes on the fly that seems like it would be a good feature.

Would love something that merges the two. A patchable switching system. Still not a big fan of using sorelys needed pedalboard real estate for a switcher. Would also love a version of this that is in a shape like this:

with 1/4" jacks on the front part and then a centralized patching hub (to keep patching cable distance short). would fit perfectly on top of my power strip connected to my board.

I was thinking that too. The round shape looks great and seems to fit with a lot of setups. But I'd probably do better with a strip approach. then again, i'll probably end up getting one regardless

Those are some great ideas. Obviously there's no more room in the Patchulator for bypass switches so yeah something larger would be needed. I imagine you can use it in conjunction with a switcher/looper but then you've got a whole whole whole lot of cables happening. To avoid the popping/shorting when patching, you can use a small bypass switch or volume pedal before your amp. Love that the ideas are flowing.

In case you guys are modulation junkies like me, here's a fun demo of how I use it with control voltage signals, in a bit smaller scenario than I'm usually patching. Maybe it will spawn some ideas for you.

I love the Patchulator.

Nonetheless, mods are needed. All the 1/8" jacks yanked and the holes drilled to accommodate the 1/4" jacks in their place (I don't have any moodular Eurowracked schtuff). With the top jacks enlarged to 1/4", it opens up the possibilities for exponential pedalboard patching mayhem.

While I'm at it, swap all jacks to stereo Neutrik 1/4" jacks, so I can run Tremolemonessence and Cosmichorus anywhere/everywhere in Stereo-Stereo.
That reminds me, I'll need to install all stereo jacks in my Super8...

Super8 + Patchulator = perfect match.

Totally disagree with dropping the 1/8" jacks, the only reason I actually bought one was for the cv patching possibilities. I have lots of euro though and I can see that it wouldn't be as useful from a non-euro standpoint.

I believe mine should be in my mailbox or maybe at the post office. eBay says its delivered, but it definitely didn't deliver to my door.

Dude you rearrange your board constantly. This is the easiest way to change around your pedal chain (or parts of it) without having to actually move anything physically.

I'd troll around the Eurorack world for different patch cables, there are so many different kinds.
I, personally, got cables from Control Voltage because I was ordering other Eurorack stuff from there.

Have anyone tried using an a/b/y adapter in the patch section? (running multiple inputs through the same patches, or to creating parallel patch paths)

Sometimes buffers get unhappy with that type of stuff and levels get all out of whack...

I'm planning to try this soon using an A/B/Y up front to duplicate the signal, run two parallel signals through different effects, then both out to a mini passive mixer. Right now I'm running parallel patch paths through the Patchulator(s) but that's because I'm sharing about 8 effects between six instruments (3 synths, organ, drum machine, and electric banjo). The only wiring that ever changes are the mini patch cables, which is the whole point.

Next plan is to put the new Dittox4 looper on the extra two patch points (L and R separately), effectively allowing me to patch any of those instruments at any point in their signal chains into the looper, giving me two synced loops of anything I want. Putting the looper early in the chain will also allow me to tweak out my effects and adjust tone without having to grow a third arm.

They are 3M SJ-5012. You can get them from Mouser or other electronic parts suppliers. They have super sticky adhesive and a super sticky grip.
