I'd make an exception to Spirited Away & Princess Mononoke. Not for little ones. WHile not scary, just too freaky for very young minds.

Thomas the Tank Engine epi's on youtube.

My eldest has started school.

But that doesn't mean in not on the lookout for new stuff.
Although, the advent of Netflix has provided a seemingly endless pool of fodder for them.
But quality children's cinema is always appreciated.

For the record, I love Mononoke, but it would scare the shit out of them at the moment.

Inside out is a movie I actually love. Since I never watched TV/movies as a kid (except Aristocats, I hope someone mentioned that one) I don't have nostalgia for movies and pixar stuff generally isn't that interesting. But Inside Out is so fucking good

I might've wept a little to it

bigchiefbc wrote:My son is going to be 3 in a couple weeks, and he's also totally obsessed with the Cars movies. We also took him to see Planes this summer and he lost his shit. I think that just came out on DVD.

He also loved Wall-E and Up.

Also, if you have Netflix, there's a Cars short on there called Mater's Tall Tales, which I think he likes just as much as the actual Cars movies.
Wow it's funny to circle back on this thread 2+ years later. My son is now 5, and although he still loves Cars, he's now totally obsessed with real sportscars/supercars. His favorite show is Top Gear and we ended up having to ration the time that he spends playing Gran Turismo 6 on the PS3. He's now completely convinced he'll be a racecar driver when he grows up. (But not NASCAR, he said that's boring. He wants to drive the Le Mans/IMSA series)
