Yeah the manual was a really nice thing to open up when I got mine. Definitely helped.

Moving over here from the Knobs thread.
That manual and the info in this thread is very helpful. Like I said over there, I'm ordering one ASAP
I'll be getting a Blippoo Box in Rob's next run whenever that is (hopefully), and I think it will become best friends with the Patchulator. From my understanding, I'll be able to use the Patchulator to send CV from the Blippoo, which has 1/4" jacks, to my modular and vice versa. Ive been looking for something that would be able to accomplish this.
And I've been getting so fed up re-routing my pedals lately. This is going to be a game changer in my tabletop rig

This is how I use mine. It's rad, particularly if you set things up and break things down a lot (you can move pedals in and out without changing the signal chain just as easily as you can swap the signal chain without changing pedals.MrNovember wrote:And I've been getting so fed up re-routing my pedals lately. I avoid breaking things down as much as possible because it's so annoying. I've literally been sitting here thinking, man I wish my Secret Destroyer was after my CT5 for like a week, but I haven't done it. It's just too much work. This is going to be so greatD.o.S. wrote:This is how I use mine. This is exactly the reason we created the Patchulator in the first place. Now each of us (my bandmate and I) have two Patchulators, one on our tabletop synth rigs and one in our pedalboard rigs. It's great, with some longer patch cables you can patch between the Patchulators and share effects as needed.MrNovember wrote:I avoid breaking things down as much as possible because it's so annoying. Any plans to offer the patch cables as a stand alone offering, or if not, is there a source you can share? I kind of want all of mine to be green.

Also these are expensive but so useful. I recommend at least a couple on your modular journey.D.o.S. wrote:Swanky, thanks!

Re: Patchulator 8000 (tabletop/pedalboard patchbay)
I've got Ad Infinitum cables, a few Doepfer ones and Stackcables. The Stackcables are expensive but really, really useful. Recommended. The Ad Infinitum are ok for small sizes (15cm) but longer ones tend to keep the shape of how they were folded, which doesn't look super nice. The Doepfer ones are super thin, useful for when you need that.
When I get new ones it'll be either Black Market Modular cables (https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... highlight=) or Erthenvar cables (http://shop.erthenvar.com/collections/3-5mm-cables), who have a selection or really interesting cables.

My Patchulator arrived today and I am beyond impressed by the quality-ness and general usefulley-ness. Thinking of getting another already. My only regret is not pulling the trigger in time for BILF.

Re: Patchulator 8000 (tabletop/pedalboard patchbay)
how would it handle re-patching a pedalboard in a live setting? I am worried out noise when repatching between pedals...

That sounds like you want a switching system, tbh. There's definitely some noise when you repatch (as to be expected, think of it just like using 1/4" cables).

Would love something that merges the two. A patchable switching system. Still not a big fan of using sorelys needed pedalboard real estate for a switcher. Would also love a version of this that is in a shape like this:
________________________________________________
I________________________________________________I
I________________________________________________I
I________________________________________________I
with 1/4" jacks on the front part and then a centralized patching hub (to keep patching cable distance short). would fit perfectly on top of my power strip connected to my board.
