Really? I mean, yes we need Earth to live on, sure. As far as the living part once its habitability is assured, there are people with childbearing parts who would rather they have kids when they want to, and parents aren't compensated and assured of employment for taking time off to do the actual parenting, and people who are trans or queer who can still be fired for it in a bunch of states, and there's people with darker complexions who routinely get the shaft consciously or not by policies (and the people who enforce them) favoring lighter skinned folks, and there's people being undervalued by their employers given that wages aren't keeping up with increases in productivity

And, of course, the Feds don't give tax money to abortion, because we have laws against the practice.

But, you know, facts. What are those.

Who cares about facts anymore?

I am so frustrated, with just friggen everyone.

It seems like there is no meeting of ideas or rational discussion anymore.

It's like the stinking climate change stuff.
Why can't you be conservative and support climate change?
Even if you believe in a young earth, you also then believe in God, and God has commanded you to take care of that young earth.

Everything is treated like an exclusive ideological concept.
And many times those ideas are in stark contrast.

Example: You can be against abortion (save unborn babies) and for ridiculously strict immigration reform (kick living children out of the US and send them to drug torn countries where they will probably die). How the fuck do you not look at that and realize your viewpoint makes no sense?

America just friggen sucks right now.

I understand that people are stupid, but I just had some hope that logic and reason might win out. It's just not going to happen.
For either party.

rant:
it's only going to get worse unless "we the people" take our country out of the hands of the corporate control. We are starting to go down a very dark path here where corporations have more rights than people, more power than governmental bodies. Unchecked you could have people put in work camps for going against a corporation. What do I mean? Look into the TPP, look at the amount of corporate prisons, corporate personhood. Sure on their own it isn't scary but put together with the constant weakening of sovereignty by large banking organizations, acceptance of the wealthy as celebrity which as you know holds a lot of the trappings of royalty in terms of pointless adoration from the axe body sprayed masses wearing their swoosh shirts. I mean if you all want to live in a 3rd world country where conservative/corporate controlled views are law then by all means move there, there are a lot to choose from.

And Dirge if the electoral collage was incorruptible than I would not disagree with you but with all the UNCHECKED gerrymandering that has happened where it is being used for a known outcome it's hard to get behind the system as it stands, and at least with one person one vote even if we get the worse choice at the very least it is because people are stupid and not the choice made by Standard Oil, Nike and Goldman Sachs.

Same out here.. we have a few ok peeps but in WA but in the end the line always gets towed…

It's hard for me to really buy into anything said because I use to play at a lot of events for the Dems in this state [a friend was involved and they were good paying jigs] and the mindset you would hear when they had their little meetings… I mean their ideas were cool… for 50 years ago interns of winning people over and getting the word out… and most of the beliefs were based on TV/Morning gossip "news" shows like the view..

politely disagree. I've known some superdelegates, and they're (anecdotally) very thoughtful people that aren't beholden to the corruption trappings your laying at their feet. I certainly trust them to make the right decision far more than the average moron.
