Possible stolen gear from Chicago area?

Post by Ghost Hip »

My store manager just called me. A guy just dropped off a box of about 30 boutique fuzz/drive pedals, some boss to sell to us. He claims to be from Chicago and "did not want to deal with stores there." Very suspicious to travel to Lansing, MI from Chicago to sell a butt ton of pedals. He wanted me to check here on the off chance someone might have had these stolen from someone. I will attach an image he sent me.

If anyone has any info you can call the store at five one seven three three three six six two seven.

Posted on tgp, we passed on them but have the dudes information. He didn't seem to have a clue about the pedals he was selling.

Hmmmm, spicious, pupper.

Weird they went to Lansing rather than up here to Milwaukee.

That's the biggest tip off for me is they all had boxes. And on a less serious tip... this guy had two Boss Xtortions.... who has two Xtortions for practical use?

We called Chicago music exchange too, they weren't missing anything. Who knows.

Boost Screamer is by some company called Dirty Bird that hasn't updated their fb page since 2011. MI is Australian. Nobels is German. "Bad Motherfuzzer" does not match any google image search results for a fuzz of that name. What a weird collection.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

I spy a Ghost Effects Lunar Incantation in the lower left of the photo.

Probably could've tracked it on that alone if you'd known what number it is.

It's possible it's stolen but it's also possible someone passed away/estate auction'd etc. -- although why you wouldn't just say that is beyond me, making this less likely.
