Lots of boys on this forum, so figured this might be a good place to either assail my worries or increase them.
My doc wants to do a cystoscopy (for those who don't know, a tube with a camera right up the peehole) to diagnose some "microscopic hematuria" I've been having for a few months. Naturally, I'm fucking terrified and don't want to do it. Has anyone had one? How awful is it? How is recovery? I deal with really rough medical anxiety so part of me just wants to opt for general anesthesia, regardless of the cost (and yeah, paradoxically, in full knowledge that general anesthesia would compound the risk of something going awry). He told me what it was in the office yesterday and I had a damn panic attack.
Halp.
