I'm really confused...what are those JHS things supposed to be?

Anyways, the new Make Noise Tempi looks pretty cool. I really want to see a demo of it to see how it compares to Pamela's Workout.

Also Pittsburgh's new cases look great: http://pittsburghmodular.com/structure/

I don't use the FX send on Rosie much, mostly just the return, for bringing incoming guitar/pedal signal up to a mixable modular level.
I also don't use my modular effects on guitar much yet. I like using the modular CV on guitar effects much better.
Pitchfactor and Eclipse (and RP360) take mono CV straight from modules with perfect accuracy, btw. No Roland buffer needed, but it is really nice for level control over multiple signals. Some modular filters and effects are cool on guitar for sure, but modular CV into guitar effects is the coolest.

also the JHS things are for lunchbox modulars (API 500, hence the 500 under JHS), unless I'm totally mistaken.

That 500 series shit has I/O on the back of the cases for actual signal routing. That's probably just a guitar in on the front.

Still, fuckem nonetheless.

Also in a simialir vein, Strymon has been teasing eurorack related bits and pieces (It's in all the photos they have been posting etc etc)

I've been eyeing up the XOAC Sewastopol:
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/xaoc-devices-sewastopol

Gets you some CV from external sources you want to run into the modular, or a couple of extra functions if you're just using it as an out. Looks a little superior to the doepfer version (119?).

Or something like the ALM SBG effects loop could work as an in/out module, for smaller HP than the Outs
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/alm-busy- ... m006-s-b-g
Might end up being more useful in the long run if you incorporate pedals.

It really depends on your needs and what else you're using. You can just use an outboard mixer, which is usually cheaper and better then trying to do it within the modular itself (saving you using HP on extra mixers or a dedicated output).
You could of course get a mixer module too, which would also be more useful in the long run.

The pitts modules turn up all the time cheap in the Muffs classifieds though, people either upgrade, or realise they didn't need one.

so I started this right before the holidays, and I figure the case is full enough to start showing it
Image

gonna fill in the last 22hp and then it's full stop
I made myself the deal that I'd give eurorack a shot if I limited myself to 168hp/year
the thing sounds great!
Erica modules are top quality, Girts really knows his shit! top notch service!

I guy can dream!? :?:

with the cnd exchange rate in the shitter, it's damn expensive right now.
I figure with a dual LFO and noise source, I'll be pretty set for exploration of what I have without being a fool that has more then he can chew.
