Not by the way, is straight edge even a thing around these parts? I still 'practice' edge, but I haven't talked about it in those terms in a long time.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Mmm yeah, I remember explaining it to my future in-laws when my wife and I started dating (19). They all liked to drink a good deal back then, and it was kinda weird. "But...why?" So far from a lot of peoples' experience. How long you got to hear an answer?

Though I left out the bits about promiscuity. Though they might have appreciated it, it would have been fucking uncomfortable to talk about.

Not edge anymore, but haven't drank alcohol in something around a decade. Best decision I have ever made w/r/t mental health. Aaaaaannnnnnd this thread got away from itself.

So let me just say a Sea Machine v2 and an Ibanez DML are almost certainly on the "eventually/super soon/I need to sell shit" list.

I was a stoney little crusty shithead but had some high school friends who were edge4lyfe. They played in bands with srs lyrics, got sXe tattoos, etc. Most of them spiraled into addiction pretty quickly. The joke was
Riverside County Straight Edge: True Till Meth

in hindsight it's pretty sad

Anyway, right now I'm after an old chrome morley power volume phaser. Found a deal on one in good shape this week but had to spend money on actual life stuff instead. Laaame.

No such thing as OT. And the SMv2 is really cool. It can do some limited/primitive pitch shifting that was pretty interesting.

This is one of the reasons it isn't always wise to advertise yourself. It's OK to just keep your personal politics to yourself, right...? There's an inverse proportion of volume and commitment, or something like that.

Some young dudes and dudettes show up to class and won't use their assigned .edu addresses...they insist on things like

gqsmoov
footballplaya69
belieber93

and, my all-time favorite

penis.mcgee

He insisted on being addressed as "Richard (Dick)," though his name is Miles.

California....meth, man...crazy crazy...

'cept in Bakersfield it there was a second option of sXe until church...then they got addicted haha (until about 35-40 then right back to the constuction meth life-style...when being a tech for Cox or whoever didn't work out). Most of them straight edge kids from the hills just liked to come down and start fights anyway...

Get that phaser!

edging sucks. Or I wouldn't know cause I've never tried. Either way, this year I wanna get myself some cool workstation thing that's kinda portable. Like an OP-1. Also, the fuckin AARP is next on my list. And then some hectic tremolo, supa trem and MWFX trem with CV and shit are definitely options. Then a phaser? Then maybe getting a life. After that I'm going for the mf104m
