Someone at work baked me cookies.

They were gone so quickly. Seriously, I can't control myself around Peanut Butter cookies. It isn't fair how good they are.

I am not sure other people in my office keep this type of stuff on them, I tend to like to be able to clean up fast at work if needed.

BREAK OUT THE EMERGENCY PANTS!!!!

Made it through work without too many cookies yesterday, and felt pretty good about my willpower. Then that evening my folks arrived at the house from afar, and the first thing my mom talked about doing with the kid... was baking and decorating cookies.

I am so screwed.

Literally work at a fucking bakery that has a heavy emphasis sugary treats for people with restrictive diets. I am SO thankful that we're closed until the new year, because i don't know how much longer i could hold out against all those fucking treats. I'm hoping i don't have to work today, but if i do, i'm just taking any treat that is left over at the end of the day home with me. Do not care if it's a fucking gluten free corn muffin, i want it. I had to spend 8 hours yesterday looking at and making cookies, basically. I want cookies. Fuck the holidays.

Yeah. Between my job and years of poor dental hygeine, eating sweets is pretty hard for me now. I ate a bunch yesterday and regret it pretty heavily today. Fucking shit. My big weakness is usually cookies too. Although the cupcakes my coworker makes look fucking bomb, and i want to try them sometime, i've been forcing myself to eat savory a lot more, which isn't hard. Savory rules.

hahaha i've so been there. the bakery i worked at was a specialty gluten free place but with an emphasis on low carb. most of it was terrible but there were a few that i liked even as carb-munching gluten-fiend. where it got dangerous was the "low net carb" cookies. you just jack 'em full of fiber to offset the carbs, which makes sense in theory but in practice it turns into a russian roulette situation where you gamble on how many you can eat before you are hunched over on the toilet with violent bowel convulsions.

Oh god, the horrors of gluten free baking. Xanthan Gum just doesn't make sense, i sort of refuse to believe it's real. I do make one Gluten Free cookie that is seriously mind-blowing, like even for a glutenous non-vegan cookie it would be good. I want cookies now. Gonna eat Ramen and Vegetables instead.
