That was the first thing I noticed about it. They have to be built with a specific company in mind because I don't think even Make Noise/Mutable Instruments modules will fit in there, and both of their modules are pretty shallow.
It makes me hopeful than another company will see its potential and try to make it right. :joy:

I mean the shallowness is kind of a buzz kill, but the majority of my modules would fit it. The only ones I own that wouldn't are the Disting (which is pretty disappointing, because that thing is amazing) and the RCD+BO.
I'm still going to consider it in the future

Listened to these and threw my money at a pre-order...or actual order? I don't know, but ctrl-mod has them listed as in stock:

Got it. Thanks.
Also, this thing is an awesome module. It's going to pair very well with Rings

The video I posted, the guy uses that module with the Rings. It's expectedly incredible.

Don't get a uZeus, get the Synthrotek power supply then.

Say I was looking at grabbing a case, what depth measurent would I go off?

Available depth for modules: 52mm (2.047")
OR:
Available depth for modules (above Power Supply): 36mm (1.417")

I mean the second one makes sense but that would mean pittsburg akes a case too shallow for its own modules and that seems whack....

Sorry for the noob bullshit

The second one will likely be a pain in the ass at some point. Aim for at least 50mm. Even modules that are 20-30mm deep need some space underneath for things to be comfortable (power cables, etc.).

If you're in Australia you should contact Ian from Amalgamod (meatbeatz -> his username for gmail, not typing it fully because spam happens ;) ), he's working on a line of really cool cases and he's from there. I'm waiting for his next model myself.

Edit : actually, I think he's from Melbourne too. Worth contacting him :thumb: .

I've been slowly gathering parts for a 9u DIY system with a decent power supply, but fuck it. I'm just going to stick that on the back burner and grab one of those Make Noise skiffs until I really need all that space, I can then use it for controllers etc if I end up expanding that far.

Intellijel have some cases (and their own line of 1u utilities) coming:

Their stuff usually seems very reasonably priced too.

Folktek's first euro module looks awesome: http://folktek.com/instruments/modular/matter
I'm starting to question whether I want to keep any standard oscillators or just build a really weird rack out of stuff like this and Ieaskul stuff
