Re: X-Men: Apocalypse
i'm interested in seeing how this turns out, but after the recent Capt America: Civil War and BatsVSupes trailers, this trailer leaves me kinda flat.
its only the first trailer, i'm sure i'll be more interested as it gets closer to release.

Looks way better than I expected. I really liked the 'past' part of DOFP, so this will probably be up my alley.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse
I really got into the Age of Apocalypse story arc as a kid. It was pretty rad.
Don't know if these new movies will follow that, but if they do and they do it right....holy shit.
I'm on mobile so I will watch the trailer later.
Ignorant post is ignorant.

there are a few things in the trailer i'm pumped about - they got nightcrawler back, kept quicksilver and they may have done a good job w/ archangel. my fingers are crossed about a lot of things.

I really don't like Superhero movies, there's just so many of them and they all look exactly the same to me now.
Spider-man 3 was amazing and fools say that it's terrible. They're all liars with no taste.

maybe i <3 superhero movies (when they're done well, like not tons of hulk shit until the avengers flicks) because i grew up a comic nerd.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse
I actually often joke to friends that dubstep ruined genre film trailers. I stand by that assessment. Like there can't be suspense in a sci fi movie preview without bass drops anymore.aen wrote:BWAAAAAAAAAAAAP.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse
I'm so excited for this movie, but the trailer leaves a lot to be desired. Also makes me wish that this were a trilogy--Apocalypse isn't someone they can introduce, fight, and defeat in two hours. At least not in a way that will be cool. I mean we're dealing with time travel, mind control, god-like powers, super strength, &c all as both powers and plot devices, and that's all gonna happen in a massive ensemble cast with tons of CGI (which didn't look super great to me here, by the way)? Sounds like a recipe for a shitty movie.
This could have been stretched out to include Bishop, Cable, tie into another franchise (X Factor), on and on and on. FOX needs to sell the X-Men rights to Marvel after this movie so we can really get the ball rolling. Fantastic Four appears to be done after three bad, underperforming movies...could be so cool to watch the endless cross-pollination of this stuff.
Say what you will--I know not all of these are of high quality. But I don't care. I'll watch them all until I die. It's fun, and they're great popcorn flicks.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse
There is a xmen villain from when I was a kid (the cartoon) that I for the life of me can't remember. Had long hair, white skin (not Caucasian), a red/white outfit?, and swords I think.
