The Digitizer is really a different beast than the DPM(-2). A funny unit!

Yup, totally different. However, I can hear some slight relation...I just think the digitizer took that chip right off the deep end and feedbacked into pure noise. Some of the sounds when I am not playing (and it is not trying to track) are awesome.

From what I can tell the glitch is like a momentary feedback or something and chip or whatever kind of samples it or holds whatever feedback is sent in, leaving artifacts (and may also switch the mode or made the selected "patch" act differently). The select cycles through the chip arp/modulate modes similar to the switches on the DPM, but way less efficient. The OSCs almost act like some kind of "tracking circuit" frequency set (probably a some kind of CMOS thingy) that is modulated by the selected mode...but sometimes the guitar does peak through. Gate is a tunable gate and it actually really effective.

Signal is drive into the circuit I suppose.

So at the beginning, the OSC controls were set to minimum and I think were trying to track my guitar at very low freqs, which is why it wasn't doing much (and probably the audible lag). When I got closer to guitar frequencies, it seemed to respond better.

All of this is my best guess though...just what it seems to be doing to me.

This thing can't take chords either...at all. It wont track really at all with anything more than one distinct note.

Maybe? I mean, it left artifacts that built up the longer I held it? I'm not sure...this whole pedal is a mystery haha. It was just my best guess...it just sounded like it would add this feedback loop like sound and keep it locked in the oscillations? I'm going to check it out more...I/O would make sense though too.

The other thought I just had was that it might be related to the chips/technique that electro lobotomy uses in the Sub-Destruction (and I think Moutainking took the logical end with the Binary System) combine with that same toy chip electro lobotomy and DBA use in their noisey pitch shifter and robot respectfully.

Wow that Digitizer is just full of texture. Glad hes going to offer that again. Bet that would be awesome infront of the memory loss :poke:
This thread needs more demos :thumb:

Only one more week of semester, then I'll have time to do more in-depth demos of my Seppuku's. They are really starting to add up  :snax:

haha... one of those got killed recently on my street...Her kids live on the power lines...

Story of the day

Got my memory loss 5-knobber into reset mode...pretty fun. Have to get something with a gate and high volume in front of it and it will start playing the repeats until you hit it hard with something loud (like the digitizer). The repeats will cancel and start again! Fun!

Here are some pairings with the digitizer...

Youtube Analytics are kind of fun! 98.3% male viewers! Like 99% from the USA too...maybe we do like TV the best? Surprising amount of views from AUS, NZ, and S. Korea too...

I dunno how it guesses which ones are hitting it (I know IPs and GPS send data, and they collect data from DNS and other routing servers...but if it is an embed...then technically it is running through the US at some point...but I guess that it will still tracert to an IP address in the correct location...maybe all my views are from the USA?)? I'm guessing that embeds are ran as American hits? I dunno...I don't think it is that accurate at all really. Weird stuff...nevermind...only the last 28 days. Haven't done much in the last month (not like I get hits anyway...just like to see because it is fun)

Nah, she is probably right, haha.

Kinda scatterbrained nonsense really...Some good sounds...but the digitizer is what it is.

Man, the 5-knob mem loss was clipping the hell out of everything. Such a loud pedal...but I glad I got it to reset at will. Next I think I am going to try it with some kind of volume pedal, stutter/momentary kill switch (maybe the repeater), or a heavily gated fuzz (like the tone axxe or octave drone) to illustrate the resets...(hopefully it will act the same...in theory at least. Maybe it just need a sharp difference/signal change to reset?)
