Im constantly running into super mutants down south, also finding that investing in the armour and gun mods perks asap is the way to go. Got a 10mm pistol that is highly effecting against most things, then again i carry around way too many guns, TIP always keep a pipe pistol (heavily modified if possible) as that ammo is he easiest to find. Im 40 hours in and have over 2000 rounds for that, plus mele with weapons ive increased as its good way to finish people/things off and not waste ammo.

Ive also barley spent any caps apart buying 10mm ammo, and I usually sell all the drugs ive crafted as i dont use them atall that and shipments of Adhesive because no matter how much i find or craft im always running out

Yeah I'm surprised at how effective the melee is with guns.
I've been whacking ghouls that get too close, and raiders too, and it puts them down hard.

As for chems, I usually don't play with them, but I ran into a swarm of those sting wings the other day.
Let's just say Jet, Med X and Psycho are a great combo. Being able to craft Psychojet makes them even better.
I like that the character screams "FUCKING KILL" and stuff when you take psycho as well.
I may turn my guy into a drug fuelled lunatic yet.

Ha ha love it ! I dont waste ammo on low level stuff, just melee the fuck out of them! here are some tips from me that may or maynot be useful for people:

• When upgrading weapons etc the Mods that you replace go into YOUR inventory, I didn't realise that for a while so each time im finished I put them back into the workbench so I can apply them to other weapons later
  You can actually find Dog armour for Dogmeat
  Getting jiggy with Piper gets a pretty good perk for Charisma
  Weapon and armour modding is an important perk to upgrade no matter what
  Get at least to level 1 science as well
  Power armour is handy but not really essential ive only needed it for one mission so far and thank f*ck i did
  Perk to not get radiation effects from water is super handy, but not much use in upgrading it further
  The Scrapper Perk is really handy, its when i started looting duplicate weapons and armour so i can get more scrap for upgrades
  Rename your weapons so you can remember what they do quickly
  Using the Pipboy app on your phone/tablet you can order your inventory by weight etc, the map updates in real time that is SUPER useful. Applying favourtie weapons/ aid to hot keys is quicker using the App imo. Also fast travel is easier from the app.
  Ill clear one area and loot literally everything no matter what, then share the load with my companion and scrap it all back in Sanctuary (includes weapons and armour)
  When you read a note that says "Dont enter the common" << dont enter the common unless you are ready for the consequences :-s
  A fully upgraded .50 cal sniper, combat shotgun and 10 mm pistol can really be all you need
  Cleared buildings/bases will respwan all items and people so you can return and grab all the good loot again if you want

You can make your own adhesive. if you go to the cooking station and make the vegetable starch it breaks down to 5 adhesive.

This is very handy if you start farming and you plant all the components in your compound and for the purified water.... well just build a water purifier.

I built my first building yest. made a 2 story barracks with a walk out perch. I figured all the stupid settlers can sleep there and then I'll build my monstrosity

I actually quite enjoy farming and settlement management.
I heard mutfruit is the best cash crop so I've gone apeshit for it.

i figured it's not like duct tape did't survive, it's more like those 200years after people were using the shit out of it.

im liking building more thn I thought I would, but I kinda want to get going out and wander out in the waste.



also read this... many places that are like raider or muntant camps they respawn after 30days in game.

Started playing last night! I was a little annoyed about how the map works and how the game doesn't really run you through the controls. They just expect you to remember from last time, which was a long time ago. LOL. It's really good though so far. I like shooting things, don't like all the random attacks from animals though. But that's how the game is. So I just got to get used to it.

The thing about the map is I want to place markers on things but it won't let me. Maybe it's just my game?

What're people running?
I downloaded a filmgrain mod to make it look like Fury Road last night, but I haven't had a play with it yet.
Was also looking at one of those 4K retexture dealys.

Anyone got any good mods (of any type) to recommend?
