Some French love for a change, probably some exotic cars for most of you guys.

I think Citroen did a good job on their modern reinterpretation of the DS.

Ran across this today:

Equus Bass 770 (a bit of biter...but at least I like the body better than modern mustangs...call back to the mach 1...though I ain't really a Mustang guy)

For Darcy: I like some French cars...they got the same appeal to me as a British cars...(they have some little problems that need to be worked out but they are cool)
Citronen 2CV

That Renault would make an awesome sleeper

But my heart will always be here:

I'll take the Clio...haha

That looks like a blast

I like the looks of those Lada's too...would love to have one like that V6 (of course with some huge big block I salvage)

Nissan just released a video of self driving cars today...awful...I'm sorry.

As for manual...I enjoy the heck out of it, but in major cities where no one else can drive (come to LA, I will show you, blindspot and tailgate drivers) combined with stupid hills and large distances I can see why automatic has taken over. A lot of people's commutes are 40+ miles in each direction, in traffic, and then you've got to get into a badly designed parking garage at almost a 45degree angle...it just makes sense.

I got to drive a newish volvo hatchback with a manual the other day...(took my friend to his surgery in his car)...and he always talks about how fast it is...the clutch on the thing required you to like slip the hell out of the clutch and it was annoying. He would also get pissed if I got it over 2k RPM before shifting...like really? Anyway, I don't know if he just wore it out, but getting out of that garage was a pita...burned up the clutch...and I have driven manuals forever until I got my truck. Never again haha (test drove that mustang and was fine though...and my sister's 90s mustang, both recently)...

Thank behemoth I had my truck in SF when I used to kick it up there...they hadn't finished the bay bridge yet and I had to cut through the Castro and go up 17th to get to the Sunset...oh, that hill...I would peel out every once it a while when a-holes would tailgate me...haha, coudln't prevent it...That's why the hippies never left once they got to the park in their VWs...scared to drive those hills with a manual (I miss my SuperBeetle)

Ha, I started learning how to drive stick in a Super Beetle, but my dad sold it before I could really get the hang of it. So, I never got good at it. I could drive on a stardard transmission if I had to, but I'm not sure you'd really wanna be a passenger in that car with me.

I welcome our self-driving machine overlords on principle.

In practice I will miss driving, manual or otherwise.

That article about the Pasadena Car Show thing you posted had a neat 3-d printed car in it...My friend has a Ph.D. in that from CalTech...should get her to make something (she wrote an automated program that auto made people's 3-d wrist bracelets when the RSVP...I think she had something to do with the effects in Life of Pi too).

Do you know anything about that motor cycle (model? size? anything?)....I'm in love...

How'd you know I have a yellow yamaha SGV haha! Damn...I'd be the Bakersfield version of guitar wolf with that bike.

Darcy: Get back to me when it hits 200mph (you'll probably have to put it on a jet or something  :erm: ...I'm just messing with you, French cars are ok, like a change-up pitch or something...gotta have a fastball though). It does have a bit of class, though.
