Re: Seppuku FX
it funny when i read on websites of those types who clone pedals and they'll put down the original builders quality of work or choices etc...all the while they're not coming up with any original circuits of their own...apparently some people are not imaginative enough to come up with their own artwork either

Re: Seppuku FX
Juan posted a pic of a Seppuku pedal on pedals and effects. The bubble has officially burst.

Chinese EccoMod! So nice! But yeah, these pedals are hard enough to come by as it is, so let's hope it sucks on bass/Juan hates it and that there will be no demo.

Congratulations! This is the best looking and at the same time weirdest sounding Seppuku pedal. Welcome to the DPM club!

Re: Seppuku FX
UC, while I totally love you, I never understood how do you justify DBA and Seppuku
You have quite a lot of both and they all seem absolutely horridly overpriced to me. And I don't mean just "these pedals are expensive", no, I mean OVER-THE FUCK-PRICED in the purest sense

I've only got two DBA's though, but I get what you're saying.
I have no explanation/excuse other than the fact that I love the sound of Seppuku's, and that their aesthetics are among my favourites. Also; OCD. Gotta catch 'em all.
Pepe: I've watched your video three times in the last two days. I've been preparing my body, and it is ready. :surprise:

I wish I bought a DPM back in the day. When I was getting into fuzz it seemed like one of the more over the top pedals I could find and they weren't crazy expensive.

still
smaler footprint and an extra knob hardly justifies doubling the price of Mind Warp. You gotta give me that at least :P And the "work ethics" are just complete shite.
I'm not saying his pedals are not great, wouldn't say that from what I've heard... but as a business model it's complete bullshit
I don't even think putting a swastika on a pedal is as bad as so criminally overpricing them

Had the DPM. It was fun to mess around with but ultimately felt pretty limited. I never imagined these Seppuku pedals would become so much in demand. To me, it's one of the more surprising developments in the world of effects pedals.

Re: Seppuku FX
While I was searching for a certain Australian pedal on the 7th December 2012 I stumbled upon the Seppuku pedal line up at effectsdatabase.com. I was immediately astonished by the look of those beasts and they promised new sounds. During the last twelve months I was lucky to purchase a DPM-2, an Octave Synth and a beautiful first version Mind Warp. Indeed, these pedals can create sounds that I cannot achieve with my other pedals and I'm looking forward to receive more Seppuku pedals in the future. Those have to be used and fairly unexpensive, though.onyxrhino wrote:I never imagined these Seppuku pedals would become so much in demand. I love experimental sounds that completely maltreat the original signal and the Seppuku's are just right for that purpose.
