Re: The Mandela Effect and Other Ludicrous Things
The Mandela Effect seems to be conspiracy theory for people who have run out of ideas.
Plus... I pretty much forget where I parked for work EVERY SINGLE DAY. Do you know why? Because it's not important. I know my car is there somewhere, and I take for granted it will be there when I come back out (barring some sort of unearned towing). It's not important where I placed my sriracha in my refrigerator. But I don't say "HOLY FUCK!" if it's two to the left of the peanut butter instead of one to the left where it usually might be. Just like the spelling of Semenstain Bears or whatever else. You don't see any Mandela Effect theorists saying "My birthday used to be 4/27 and now it's 4/28!" or "My girlfriend's number was 555-6792 and now it's 555-6729!" Because that shit is important (hopefully) and we don't forget it. There are an infinite number of things that we won't remember because they aren't important, and they may "change" later because our brain was like "Who gives a shit?" when we first saw them.

Considering the title includes the phrase "ludicrous things" I'm not sure who you're trying to be polite for?snipelfritz wrote:I feel that way about this whole thread, but I'm just trying to be polite.chuckjaywalk wrote:That is bafflingly stupid. I was totes wrong, but also, kinda right, since I actually guessed the name of his analog in Gremlins II.
Anyways, this whole subject makes me wish that I liked weed or had a line on some LSD.

What started me on this whole journey was a thread on Godlike Productions regarding time shifts, celebrity deaths, nosebleeds, and headaches.Sparrow wrote:i remember his name a different way for sure.
