Always been intrigued by the show (I've seen like 10 minutes total over 3 episodes) because I dig horror a lot but I'm not really a sit down and watch TV at a specific time of the night person so I've never been able to really marathon it.
We watch American Horror Story on Netflix. That's why I haven't seen Freakshow, yet.
AHS always has an element of "shit would never happen like this in real life" to it that is a bit disconcerting to me. Kinda jumps the shark a lot. Scream Queens has that same thing. But, being a comedy, it is much easier to take. In fact, it may just help the funny by adding to the absurdity.

I know. :/ I was told so. it's just getting us both to have the time to sit down and watch. we used to do so more during the week but that has slowly stopped since the wife gets home from the gym at 7pm and ends up eating dinner closer to 830 than 8 or before. so I've usually ate before then and getting other shit done so we might watch some horseshit that's not important that neither of us have to pay attention to.
Maybe this weekend we can start.
I can't be bothered to dissect every form of entertainment as in 'would this happen in the real world' cause then well we wouldn't have entertainment. we would have fucking horseshit reality
I'm pretty good at accepting entertainment as such. However, as this feeling becomes more pervasive, and often coupled with plot holes, I tend to get unnerved.

Yeah I was skeptical of this season at first but it seems to hold up better than the last one so far. I was worried it was going to be just "Throw every creepy thing in a hotel!" But they're keeping it classy.
Season one is great. My wife and I binge watched it in like 2 days. Really, all the seasons are good in their own ways. I really enjoyed a lot of season 2 even if it tried to do too much at once. Jessica Lange is the best.
I think this season is missing Jessica Lange a lot. I also think that they are doing too much exposition instead of revealing things slowly within the plot. It is ok, but a little slow paced. It is much better than Coven and I am still torn on Freakshow. I like Freakshow the more that I think about it, but it irritated me watching it for some reason. I liked Asylum the best even though too much was going on...
I will say that the acting and characters are a little more flat and bad this season of AHS. The main detective dude is just boring even though he was introduced somewhat strong (though over the top). Kathy Bates isn't really adding anything either. I'm sure it will all get better though. Gaga paisties ain't helping either...but I am a prude.
Scream Queens...eh, my wife enjoys it and there are some funny moments, but they over did it on the campy/idiot/stereotype kind of things. Niecy Nash is doing a great job I think though and steals the scenes a lot of the time (which is cool, but kind of shows how forgettable some characters are in the show). My wife likes it, but it has been just ok for me.
On a side note, the Walking Dead episode was a let down (and it looked cheap).

Also, I'm about halfway through Freak Show. So far, I'm pretty pleased with it. After so much talk of it being with worst season, I didn't have much hope for it. Maybe it goes downhill towards the end, like Coven did?
