ILFSS '15 Wishlist Thread

Nobody wanted to start this last year so I will.

A couple things:

-Try to keep it pretty general in the wishlist thread. Maybe builders you like, types of effects you're into, etc. Instead of being like "Get me a Count to Five!" maybe say "I'm into looping and glitchy stuff and pitch shifting madness." and then maybe you'll get a ct5 or maybe you'll get some other awesome glitchy thing you weren't expecting. FUN!

-It might be helpful to post your pedalboard or your collection so nobody buys you something you already have.

-Include T shirt size, any dietary needs/restrictions/things that gross you out, music you're into, and stuff like that.

-Look at last year's wishlist thread and the unboxing for inspiration or if you're just not sure what to do.

-Don't use this in lieu of stalking. The hunt is the rewarding part, not the kill.

I'm all for not making it efficient nor easy for stalkers. While I normally love excel and lists and stuff I think it is in ILFSS best interests to be a little more mysterious.

I'll kick it off:

Stalking is key, but here are some hints

Pedals: Anything really. I play both bass and guitar. Space sounds, droning and glitching is neat. If you stalk me you'll have no problem finding my pedalboard and other pedals in my collection. I'm not big on modulation, but perhaps you will change my mind?

T-shirt size: Big/US size S, or European M. Long and lanky dude.

Eatables: Anything. Only thing is; I'm vegetarian, so watch out for gelatin in gummies etc.

Music: Surprise me. I bet your local bands are cool!!

Books: Poetry, novels, short stories, graphic novels, manga, whatever. As long at it's not super canonized. I study literature, so I might already have read the bigger works. Again; writers from your neck of the woods would be cool!

Other: STICKERS! I FUCKING LOVE 'EM!

I'll say what I like I don't care.

Pedals-anything weird or crazy. Fuzz, modulation, delay. I HATE ring mods though. Big fan of all ILF builders and most of the Shark Tank guys. I do like other stuff as well. I've tried and owned a TON of shit. LOL. And I'm a notorious pedal whore/flipper. I feel bad for you SS.

Shirts-depending on the time of year (LOLZ) Medium to X-L. Usually a large is pretty comfortable all year around. I like form fitting stuff. Like things that kind of accommodate a bigger upper body and smaller mid section. Otherwise my arms/shoulders have issues in some shirts. #bodybuilderproblems haha

Food-well we all know I eat strict, but!!!! I fucking LOVE chocolate. LOVE IT. Like have a huge boner for it. If you're from a different countries, OMG, I love it even more because yours is better than mine! I love LOVE coffee with a passion. I'm a dark roast guy. I will tear up some chocolate and coffee. In fact fuck the pedal, let's just get me this.

Music-I love all kinds of music except pretty much country. I guess this a hard one. I'm down for local, your favorite group you want everyone to know about, or your group. Whatever.

Books-I am a horror novel guy. Edward Lee, Wrath James White, Brian Keene, Richard Laymon...etc. My only request is if you buy me a book no Stephen King please. I own every book by him and I don't really enjoy them anymore lol. The grosser the better too. Like I LOVE sick and twisted shit. High energy, disturbing, gross, and just wrong stuff.

Other stuff-really I'm down for whatever. I won't use stickers for anything, but you can send them. I'm just happy to get anything.

Alright here goes:

T-shirts - Medium, black. End of discussion

Pedals - several of my board incarnations should be pretty easy to find, I have some fancy stuff, so nice/sparkly soundingq stuff is pretty well covered. But! Some of that stuff is too clean sounding. And some of it is not polyphonic enough! I love Rats and Rat varients and can always use more. Octaves and Reverb are always cool. Fuzz is cool if it's really crazy. I don't care for 60s fuzz or low gain sputterers too much.
I have been looking for swirly sounding pedals for feedback loops, as well as a nice oscillating fuzz. I also like little noise maker boxes. I messed around with a Pocket Piano for the first time yesterday and HOLY FUCK am I in love (had to be obvious about something )

Also I've been playing a lot of noise with my mixer running feedback loops, so some other stuff I can work in with that would be awesome. Volcas, Rucci Electronics stuff, weirdo drone boxes, etc.

Music - local is always nice. I have a decent vinyl collection. I like shoegaze and post-punk. Some mathy stuff, surfy punk, vaporwave/chillwave/slow-electronic. I like your band and I like other bands from your town that are good and I haven't heard of.

Food - love candy. Especially chocolate and licorice. If it's candy I can't get, fuck yeah. Coffee, donuts, pizza, all that shit. I don't eat meat though, but who the fuck is sending meat in the mail?

Really I don't care what I get from you. My GF never gives me gear presents, so I will be happy either way!
