Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Yes. The Dronebank and other Snazzy modules should be looking good pretty soon I think, as more users and better videos start showing up. If you're already doing grendels, moisturizers, spring things, volcas, and $450 reverb pedals anyway it only makes sense.

I don't want to sell a lot of stuff to finance it, but I'm already weighing the usefulness of everything and checking for equivalent replacements. Some things will be easy to let go of, and some will have to be beaten by euro equivalents in order to get the axe. I haven't seen much in euro yet that can actually take over for/replace my current effects and rack synths, which is another reason I think the market still has a LOT of growth ahead, that involves increased accessibility and ease of use. It's going to take me a few years at least to reach any sort of completion, but who knows how many game-changers there will be along the way, to wreck whatever the plan was for the last 5 minutes.
I do feel lucky to have you guys with big setups in this thread, with the knowledge it takes to run all that. May I call you sensei?tuj wrote:The Pitts mixer used to be not so good. Not sure if they fixed that. Anyway, they don't call it Eurocrack for nothing.

Okay, modified my Foundations 3.1+ approach, stalking modular grid for related modules that were better and around the same price and came up with this. Where did I fuck up?

Not gonna lie, I would splurge a bit more on an LFO if it meant decade long cycle times. Gotta get dat drone on. Still thinking about replacing the VCF with the creamy-sounding Koma.

if you want long LFO cycle times, send a negative offset to the CV of the LFO rate.
so much gear...

If you want long cycles, the Xaoc Batumi can go up to a day or something ridiculous.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
I'm thinking of not going the MIDI route (so I can skip the MIDI/CV panel) and getting the QuNexus and then use the extra 10HP on another VCO or VCA. What would be more important to have/offer me cooler waveshaping options?
