I've been searching for the easiest DI and silent way to record guitars. I thought I had found the end all be all with the Two Notes Captor, but at this years NAMM 2020 Quilter Labs has decided to come out with a much simpler solution. I quickly bought one and decided to give them both a quick rip. I used a Balaguer Hyperion into a PLX FX Spirytus Distortion and ran it through both rigs using the built in cab sims, The Wall of Sound Plugin and also my own IR. They do sound good mixed! Cool demo and they both sound good. Both inbuilt cab sims seem good enough for a gig where something's broken and they both sound great with the separate cab sims. I noticed the Two Notes seemed much darker than the Quilter, is there any way of dialling that out? Because I preferred the brighter sound of the Quilter in all these clips and I notice that also has a tone control for added versatility.

It sounded darker because I left the built in bass cab IR on. I need to do another vid with it turned off.

Sounds pretty good! What is that last riff you're playing? Reminds me so much of something.

Just a riff I’ve had kicking around for a while. Always had an Amon Amarth type vibe to me.
