Multiple effects, one knob?

I've always wondered if it was possible to make one giant pedal with five or six different effects in it controlled by only one potentiometer. It would be kind of cool to make a gigantic pedal that housed a bunch of different pedals, but you could only get changes in effects with only the one knob. Maybe there would be an extra volume control since stacking effects can make it loud. Yeah, it might be a dumb idea anyways since it's controlled by only one knob, but I've always wanted to try and build something like this, maybe a few of them with all different effects inside of them, but is it even possible?

Short answer No I think, Long answer, it would be very confusing and it'd just be easier to use several knobs or trimmers inside... unless you went digital.

There are modular stackable pots, that you could stack at least 5 on one shaft.

There wouldn’t be much flexibility though. All volumes off one knob, all textures off one knob. I guess you could pick and choose, this volume, this texture, this tone all on one knob, but to me it would be too limiting. Along the lines of only one on off switch.

I know it wouldn't be useful to do it, but I thought it might be fun to make one. Taking a delay, a fuzz, a filter, and a chorus perhaps and controlling it with one pot seems kind of stupid and limiting, but I thought it might be a fun thing to see how many usable sounds from only one control. If I ever have time to learn how to make effects, I would definitely want to experiment with something like this.
