Adding a Latch Switch to a Raptio

Has anyone done this before? I love this pedal to pieces but it really grinds my gears that I have to keep the pedal engaged while I screw around with the glitch. How hard would it be to add a switch so that I can choose to have the pedal infinitely hold a note while I glitch it, or stop playing once I disengage?

Well they make latching switches that are exactly the same, so in theory it ought to work. Should be super easy to change out too. Two wire in there and that's it. You just have to buy a latching soft switch. Which apparently are fucking out of stock everywhere. UGH. I was going to post a link.

Well piss, I'll just have to keep an eye out then for one. Thanks for putting me on the right path though!

No problem dude! I'm going to email a few places anyway because I need those fucking switches right now.

If you pay for the part, I'll do it for you. It should be soooooo easy. And if it doesn't work, I'll simply put the old switch back. I won't charge you for that. If want me to try.

Ah, I don't want the clickless switch replaced, cause I still like switching between stutter a lot. I'm just looking to put on something like the EHX Freeze has, except it's just ON/OFF to hold the note or not.

I definitely wouldn't mind sending it out to you though, let me know.

You're confusing my brain. So you want two switches instead of one? Or just one? LOL

The toggle switch on the Freeze probably switches on some latching relay switching or something -- more complicated than just making it a true bypass latching switch.

Yea I would think that'd take some level of ninja work or programming. :) I'm sure someone out there might know how to do it though. I don't unfortunately. :(

Ahh my bad.

Yea, I'm looking to add a second switch that will hold the note indefinitely if I want it to.

You could, however, replace the momentary stomp with a 3PDT switch and have true bypass with latching.

Or now that I'm thinking about it, if you're not afraid of rehousing or drilling two new holes, you could put the momentary stomp off to one side and the latching stomp on the other side, both wired up to complete the circuit that the momentary switch closes. The momentary switch wouldn't do anything extra when the latching switch is engaged.

But to get from that to using the momentary to hold a note, you need something inside that acts like the latching switch, and adding a latching relay is probably how you'd accomplish that.

I'll look into all of that, thanks for the info!
