Sea Machine Footswitch Problem

Hey guys as the title states gots me a sea machine and I also gots me a small problem! when I engage the machine it either
drops out the signal or when the effect engages their's a volume drop, usually its right when I power on all my pedals and
start playing and when either of these two things occur I turn it off then back on and its right as rain.I'm pretty sure its
the footswitch but any input would be appreciated perhaps I need to send it to the EQD headquarters for inspection?
