so is the dirt transmitter a deluxe fuzz master general?

haha i just got the FMG in the mail today and thats what i'm hearing out of this guy... it sounds awesome but to me seems like it was the jumping off point or whatever for the DTs... am i onto something here?

No the fuzz master is similar to a superfuzz with the tone switch replaced as a pot. It's a circuit a lot of people used and just changed the name. The transmitter is kind of a dismantled and redesigned fuzz face with some very peculiar transistors.

yeah thats what i get for trying to think i know shit about pedal designs. either way, the FMG fucking SLAYS using the neck pickup on my l6-s and tone on the pedal all the way off.

The Fuzz Master General is based on the Acetone FM-2, no? How does the Acetone circuit differ from a Superfuzz circuit?
