Ok, so, right now I'll bring a Gristle and the 0-Coast and probably the 303 so I don't have to recreate patches for the Maus... and probably my 3U?

I might be looking for an excuse to abandon my wife and kids around then. How does Norway feel about transgender people?

There are assholes everywhere, but we're a very liberal, progressive and shy people up here. I would be extremely surprised if anyone even came close to saying anything to you. If they do, Vidret will beat them up. :thumb:

You can read more here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Norway

No personal accounts, but I think the laws at least somewhat reflect the general concensus.

Most people wouldn't think twice about it, I think. I've heard about people from the LGBT community being beat up, but it's seldom, and they have the vast public support as far as I can tell. There are assholes, but as UC noted, Vidret will beat them up, so it's all good. People tend to mind their own business over here.

Thanks for the replies. That all sounds great.
In the unlikely event that I am able to come, I'd probably want to stay a couple of extra days to explore. How big of a city is Oslo? Is all the fun in a particular neighborhood? Are there cafes and farmers' markets? Will they spit on my herring if I don't speak Norwegian?

It's a little smaller than Boston, population wise, but like twice the size according to the Googles, which feels right -- Didn't seem crowded but we were also there while their vacation thingy was happening.

There are a shitton of cafes (one per citizen, as per the king's orders) and I believe there are farmers' markets as well. The fun is spread around a bit, but most of it is just around the city centre. Just get away from the main street, and there is stuff and things. Everything is usually in walking distance, or a five-ten minute subway ride away. You will get fish slapped. People speak English with varying degrees of scandi-accent. Our national dish is a brand of frozen pizza. Please bring your Parallel Universe. :hello:
