I'm really late for April Fools but you Dark Souls fans gotta check out this amazingly funny gag video that GameFront put up on April 1.. basically they say they're getting this new guy to take over for James since he's so good.. and he's never played Dark Souls before.. and he's a super hilarious stereotype of a 'boom headshot' kinda CoD guy.. it's so funny, if you like Dark Souls I think you'll laugh bigtime at this:

What's good lately in video games? Everybody sure tore through Dark Souls 2 fast, barely took a month to uncover every secret.. I haven't been watching any other games lately.

Anybody playing ESO online?

I've been catching up on old games, like Max Payne 3 now that I have a PC that can run it at max graphics.

I've also got back into GTA V. I missed its silliness.

Mostly been playing Assassin's Creed 4 and NHL 14 lately. Haven't played one of those games since NHL 94 and this game has a mode for that as well since it's its 20th anniversary. Mostly been waiting for Watch Dogs to come out; seems like it might be interesting.

Nice one Danny! Short game, jump scares, procedurally-generated, pretty cool... reminiscent of Outlast I guess since it's asylum based.

You guys hear about the Demon's Souls 2 rumor? Wouldn't that be cool!

Thought this was cool too, the quite impressive difference between PC and consoles for Dark Souls 2.. looks much better on pc, no blurring when you move, 60fps, any res supported, looks loverly.

I've got a ton of catch up to do on last gen games: last of us, dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, but I'll probably pick up a next gen console soon.

This E3 should be solid. The consoles have been around a bit, publishers are getting a little more footing. As far as I can tell the new boxes really do let developed do a lot more with physics. From what I've seen there's a decent amount to be excited about for a number of different genres…I don't work with Bethesda, but I'm really hoping they have a new Fallout this year. I spend more hours than I care to admit in that world.

There is definitely a difference, but it's not as big as it is with titles like Crysis and Far Cry. I think draw distance, frame rate, frequency, mods, updates, additional controls from the keyboard, etc. would be the biggest reason to play it on PC vs. on console.

I find the war on graphics a bit silly. I'm sure you're the same, in that I could quite happily play a seven year-old game on PC and thoroughly enjoy its graphical prowess. If the visuals suit the story then it really doesn't matter how sharp it is. I still consider the first Far Cry one of the most important FPS games of the 21st Century, if not the most important. The way the graphics were utilized to create a beautiful world was never done before, and no one used physics or enemy AI to that effect either. To this day, only a few titles have made me feel as elevated and powerful as in Far Cry. Only a few have AI as clever and only a few use physics for the purpose of both entertainment and tactics.
