Thanks, Jero!
I actually snapped quite a few pics during the making of this one, as I sent worra updates, so for those interested, here's the progress, layer by layer:
Base layer

Sides

Second layer

Second layer after clear coat

Getting experimental (it's not mason jar juice, I promise)

Test print on normal paper

Close up shot of the "salt effect"

Yet another clear coat

Water decal on

Fresh coat of resin

Underwater LEDs

Another finish shot, here with some less direct lighting to see how it looks in dimmer surroundings

Cheers, BoS!
I was gonna do a really clean and classy finish on this Pladask FORM2, but then I got a tiny little nick in the paint after the second layer and went full "fuck it"-mode
I'm going to need some cool knobs for this. If anyone knows of some interesting-looking black or white/cream knobs, I'd really appreciate a link to some. I only know of places that sell the run-of-the-mill stuff and I feel like this thing needs something weird.

Moth outline = super dope. Loving it man. I'm about to start up some building again and I'm inspired to keep my acrylics going. I need to get a few more colors and start watering stuff down for layers.
It's all looking jam man.

Do it, BoS! So much fun!
I spent more time than I'd like to admit reassembling this thing, but I'm really happy with the results:

I really like them all - the only thing stopping me making something as delicious is the printing of the transfer.
I've got a printer but as it hasn't been used for ages it has no ink, and buying ink to make one transfer is a little extravagant even for me
The two faces I put on my Into The Unknown before the finish got removed were done with a paint pen, so maybe if I can find one with a finer line I could work with that, but transfers are off the agenda for me for now.

This is really cool. Reminds me of some of the Sigur Ros artwork.

"Takk" is one of my favorite albums, so that would make me very happy.

Guess I never posted the finished form2. Here it is, creamy knobs and all:
Had a slow summer. Hopefully I'll have some more pedals to pimp up in a few weeks.

looks like candy store dressing
the black & white one is especially beautiful and is something I tried in the past. at the time it yellowed with age, so I didn't continue doing it. mind you I was using laquer instead of epoxy though. I'll have to ask you in a year or two if it stood the test of time.
do you apply anything extra between the decal and the painted enclosure? or is just the wet glue that comes with the decal enough?
yer kind of giving me an itch to build again.
