Re: What are you reading?
In the words of Mark Twain, "every time I read 'Pride and Prejudice,' I want to dig her up and hit her over the skull with her own shin-bone."
Word to the wise, though. Literary chicks love Jane Austen. They love her (and I'm quoting from hazy memory) "wit and her observations and... you'd probably have to be a woman to get it."
Don't want to burn any bridges unknowingly.
Oh, and not exactly related but fun: Kurt Vonnegut and I have crashed on the same couch.
At different times, obviously.

while impressive, it would make a MUCH greater story if you said, "i've crashed on a couch....... MADE OUT OF KURT VONNEGUT."

The class with pride and prejudice requires weekly "journal entries." The sole purpose of mine is to belittle that book.
You should write all of your entries about Pride and Prejudice and Zombies...if the teacher asks say you weren't aware there was another version.
Started Mieville's Iron Council last week, it's nice to be back in Bas-Lag after the somewhat poorly paced (yet ultimately hilarious) novel that was Kraken.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

Extra lulz because that's my favourite.

I forgot to post my audiobook in the last post. It's Simplicius Simplicissimus which is an awesome awesome book. Audiobooks are all the more enjoyable if you have normally read the book before. It's quite a while ago and the audiobook is of the version with slightly more contemporary vocabulary, but it's nice anyway.

Currently in the middle of Battle for the Abyss by Ben Counter. Book 8 in the Horus Heresy (Warhammer 40k novel series). Slamming through these books at a ridiculous rate, I fear I'm gonna be caught up before the next book comes out in November.

Just got the Thor and X-Men Vol.2 Omnibus' in the mail. I really dig all the 60's reprints of the Marvel stuff.
Also on the nightstand; Magick Without Tears by Crowley, The White Goddess by Robert Graves, and Buddy Does Jersey by Peter Bagge.

It's badass!
I don't know if the translations are any good, but I can wholeheartedly recommend this author. Maybe you should try this:
