i think Source stuff usually has their micro input and a regular 1/4 input for Teh Expressions.

my BEF Pro does at least.

Soundblox 2 pedals only have the micro input. Makes it so you have to buy their expression pedal, or a hothand. Evil/genius...

At least they thoughtful enough to put the 1/4" jacks on it for the non SA needs. I love that I can have it connected to two (or four) of the SA pedals but also sweep my Xerograph.

Nah, they are both digital. Honestly though I would give it a shot, the technology has come a really long way and you can get sounds out of digital that you could never get in an analog device.

word, and digital modulation is a helluva lot different than digital fuzz etc. i had that yellow? line 6 distortion thing with the 4 switches on it about 10 years ago, running it to my plexi, that thing sounded like digital ass

It does however have control over the waveform or something but I tested a Prometheus DLX and I never figured out what that does really so I guess I'm the neanderthal or the thing wasn't functioning properly (don't even want to think about both being true, whaha).
Control over depth or width however it doesn't seem to do, but maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Well if it's anything like the Quasar DLX "controlling the waveform" means you can turn it into a sort of "flanger-wah".

If an expression pedal would function like on the Quasar DLX that would be what pigmaker is after I guess (manual sweep), but it's more like the Prometheus DLX which is quite different.

I looked up the manual! I actually owned the bloody thing and I was wracking my brain to figure it out. Guess I just never used this feature (eerrrr). Anyway on the Prometheus depending on which mode your in the exp pedal does different stuff. You can either control the speed of the lfo, do the manual sweep or you can actually MAKE a custom waveform based on the your movement with the pedal. So in that sense it's like the Lightfoot Labs Goatkeeper, instead of having a regular sine, square or triangle wave you could use the exp pedal to make a big ol' squiggle or a soft square wave. That sort of thing.

Doesn't have much relevance to what pigmaker wanted but whatever! Curiosity sated.

I don't know whether the Starlight DLX is actually a recommendation for what you're after but I guess not.

Through Effectsdatabase I could find these (foot controlled flanger):
Bespeco Flanger
Chicago Iron Pedalflanger
George Dennis GD-90 Stereo Chorus-Flanger-Volume

The Moogerfooger Clusterflux probably can do it, though that uses CV offcourse.

Oh yeah, I read somewhere the ADA is supposed to be CV too, that might be why you couldn't make it work back then (don't know for sure).

All of the inputs on the back of the Moogerfoogers will work with expression pedals too. Clusterflux would be interesting for what you described, though maybe a bit more fully featured than you'd need.
