I have an Adobe complete subscription, by the way, that I don't use enough to justify the cost, if there is anything along those lines you all might like to try. Lots and lots and lots of fonts, filters etc.
Every time I look at that image by the way, I think of the UK
Apologies if I should know but what's an "okta chart"?
So I was able to salvage parts of my project. Unfortunately all the lfo, fx, scene stuff I had isn't there anymore. if I messed something up but I'm not going to blame the octatrack for this probable user error. That being said I was able to get a recording started tonight in pro tools. Definitely not what I was hoping for but it is what it is, I guess. Anyway, does anybody know of a site where I can get cheap/maybe even free plug-ins for pro tools? I have what came with the software but it's a little disappointing if I'm being honest.

That sounds familiar for some reason. Though as I age, more and more things sound familiar that would not surprise me that I had no familiarity with at all. Like faces. When I travel (or use to before the pandemic) around the world, more and more I see faces that look familiar. Almost kind of like those alien invasion films where the aliens replicate the same face across the planet and the hero serendipitously figures it out. Except no heroic realization here, just a familiarity that can't be sourced.
So... my track is done, and it brought to mind an idea that I had last time 'round, but couldn't follow through on when my back went out on me.
Anyone want to do a video exchange? Like, I'll make a video for your track and you make a video for mine. I offer nothing fancy — we're probably talking like found footage layered up in Resolve, but I also am free of any expectations/expertise on your end.
Lemme know if you're innerested — I'll have time over the next week to do this, so I could have something pulled together at my end for release day next week.
And just a general reminder: RELEASE DAY IS IN A WEEK!
gotta get my track done this afternoon lolllll I'm sure I can pull it together. This has often felt like another stress I didn't need in quite a busy period recently, but hopefully by dedicating some time I can find the joy in it that is why I join up to these things.
EDIT: It's sounding a lot more like oscillator music. But I promise the samples were used for everything
Alright, I'm basically done with mine, no really what I was hoping for but since I somehow managed to make my project corrupt but I was able to salvage some of it. I have it all in a DAW and mixed pretty well I just need to figure out how to export it so that I can submit it. I will attempt to do all this tonight after work tonight. Sorry for the delay
file uploading! Format is artist - track name in the filename.
This was pretty stressful due to life stuff + laziness, and I would have preferred more hands on sample time (I will still keep them around saved in my morphagene for jamming) but I enjoyed the process in the end and despite some creative block I created a thing I'm relatively happy with. Using a mix of a run through processing samples through my modular, and digital copy + paste and edit

I will, need to put this Adobe subscription to use!
PM'd!
We are close, people! Tonight/tomorrow I should have the tracks in front of me, and I'll be able to start shifting the yarn strings between the printed-out photos of your avatars on my big serial killer/obsessive genius wall.
I think my computer is on its last leg.... Pro tools was having a rough time trying to export last night so hopefully I can get it to work tonight. Otherwise I'm going to drop it on a flash drive and take it to school to use a computer there. If I'm to late to make it by Saturday then I apologize. The last few weeks have been a shit show when it comes to trying to get this all put together.

No worries, I am pulling things together, but it won't be a problem to shift your track in.
Uploaded! Not my finest but I actually pulled through and didn't flake out!
That is a big win for me so I don't really care if is sucks and doesn't make the cut because I learned a lot while doing this so thanks for letting me try!

Okay! That means a prototype running order will be going with me on my walk tomorrow!
