Haven't even touched an Uncharted, but that series and Bioshock are at the top of my list of reasons to buy a PS3. My friend at work RAAAAAAAVES about all three Uncharteds, saying they absolutely get better as you go through the series.
I figure if the extra $50 is worth it for the bigger HD and Uncharted 3, since I'll be getting that at some point anyway, even though I plan on playing all three of them in order.
I agree with your friend, Uncharted is one of the best video game series ever, each game better than the last, and the third is really engrossing and immersive and action packed.. really fun.
I have a dumb question about DLC... you know how in October they'll release the DLC for Dark Souls, the Prepare To Die edition, for consoles... do you have to start over when you get that or does it just add in to your game as is?
Have a fun gaming night Max!
from what I've heard about the DLC, it's just a new area that can be accessed whenever it comes out, as long as you have access to the area before it which I've heard is the painted world. It's a good 20 hours in, but it's just an add on.
as for Uncharted, it's probably my favorite series ever, and I don't even like linear games. the story telling and cinematic aspects of it are unbelievable tho.

And thanks Max.. I've been watching LPs of the PTD stuff and it's really awesome.. but it's on PC and new so everybody has to start from scratch to get there... made me wonder if I'd have to start over on the PS3 or what. So do you order the DLC from your PS3 or do you do that online and burn it or how does that work?
<rant>tangent for me to bitch for a bit, i think if i could complain about skyrim my biggest issues with it would be how it kinda sucks how everything can be mastered and then limited without any further advance and how i'm kinda 50/50 on how places you've cleared repopulate eventually. that does make it so there's always more to do, but IMO that sucks. i love the game but am not gonna play it forever. at least for me i'd rather once a place is cleared out it just stays dead & empty unless i start a new game from ground up & all. i'm sort of obsessive compulsive about looting the shit outta places and making as much $ in there as i can (am actually up to 4.1mil ), but it blows when i go back to a place i've already cleared just to get near a new destination i haven't found yet and i go through killing more or less the same jackasses that were there before.
i hosted a show and was up drinking until about 5am last night so yes i am parked skyrimjobbing tonight.</endrant>
Dude I just realized we can all add eachother! If anyone would be down for that. I also haven't got the dark souls DLC yet but I can't wait to play it. ...and has anyone played Heavy Rain, it's one of my favorites and if you guys like immersive stories ( and it seems like you do), I would check it out for sure.
Live your life like a tree.

Heavy Rain was interesting. I liked the story, but I didn't like the gameplay of "press this button now" ala cutscene format. Also, Dragon's Dogma is actually a lot of fun.

I have always wanted to check out Heavy Rain. About how long is it?
I can't remember my PSN or Live name right now, but I will post it at some point if people want to add me. I don't play online very much (don't even have xbox live gold) so I'm not much fun
